Spectrum Resource Group

Our team had the opportunity to attend the Career & Job Fair hosted by Takla Nation's Employment & Training Department. It was wonderful meeting community members and sharing information about opportunities with Spectrum Resource Group.

We highlighted several current opportunities for members, including Slasher/Brusher, Crew Team Member and Tree Planter positions.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped by. We enjoyed the conversations and look forward to connecting with many of you again soon.

Spectrum Resource Group was proud to be a Silver Sponsor at the 2026 ESCA BC Annual Conference in Coquitlam, BC.

It was great to spend two days connecting with ESC professionals from across the region, exchanging ideas, and learning from others working to move the industry forward.

Thank you to Erosion & Sediment Control Association of British Columbia putting together such an incredible event!

🔧 Meet Devon Bjerstedt
Whether he’s troubleshooting equipment or learning something new, Devon likes figuring out what makes things work.

Devon joined Spectrum Resource Group in June 2024 and is currently a 3rd-year apprentice. What started as a hobby and a love for fixing broken things grew into a career in the trades. His favourite parts of the job is that there’s always something new to learn.

Off the clock, you'll find Devon doing IT work, gaming, or hiking💻🎮🥾

We’re glad to have you on the team, Devon. Thanks for all you do to help keep our crews moving!

Fieldwork with a view. 🏔️

Our Timber Development team was recently in the Ghost Lake area of British Columbia, carrying out detailed block assessments and layout across some of BC’s most challenging terrain.

Their work in the field helps build a strong foundation for responsible and efficient forest development.

We’re proud to support inclusive employment and meaningful opportunities in our community!

Operations Director Eric Nijboer recently participated as a panelist at the AiMHi Employment Works training event in Prince George.

Since 2014, Spectrum has partnered with AiMHi, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with diverse abilities. Through this partnership, we have helped create meaningful employment opportunities, built valuable skills and foster a more inclusive workplace.

We value our partnership with AiMHi and look forward to continuing to support individuals in our community as they develop their skills and live their best lives.

Thank you to all of our employees who participated in our photo contest!

Our team captured some incredible landscapes, wildlife and moments with their coworkers while working in the field. We loved seeing the spring and summer seasons through their lens. Check out some of this year’s entries.

From all of us at Spectrum Resource Group, we wish our employees, clients and communities a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

October 4-10 is Fire Prevention Week. This year’s theme, “Charge into Fire Safety™: Safe Charging Is a Superpower,” reminds us that our charging habits can play an important role in preventing fires. From the devices we use at home to the equipment we rely on at work, lithium-ion batteries are part of our daily lives.

Some simple habits can help reduce fire risk, such as:
Using the proper charger
Following manufacturer instructions
Watching for signs of damage or overheating
Recycling batteries responsibly

Safety extends beyond the jobsite, and your small, safe habits can make a big impact.
