He's baa-aack!! It's true! Javier is making a 'cameo appearance' here at the store this summer! Come on in and say hello - he'd love to see you and catch up!

Maria Reva wins 2026 Amazon Canada First Novel Award - Quill and Quire Reva was named the winner of the $60,000 prize on June 4 for her debut novel Endling.

Starting to get the store all spruced up in preparation for Pride month! So much fun! This will need a little ironing before we hang it I think... (thanks for the photo, David!!)

Wow! Just three days ago customers were coming in the store complaining about the cold! And today? We're complaining about the heat! We wouldn't be Canadian if we weren't complaining about the weather!!

Well, if today's heat got you thinking of a beach read for your next reading adventure - how about the latest Carley Fortune creation, Our Perfect Storm?

Or, if something a little more 'fantastical' is up your alley, "hot" off the presses today is Matt Haig's latest, The Midnight Train!

Lots new awesome stuff is arriving at the store every day! Watch for new window displays coming over the next few days.....

See you at the store soon!

(thanks, David, for the photos!!)

Did you know you can buy our We Love Perth T-shirts and totes and help provide a safe way for youth to get to the Perth Youth Centre each night?

Proceeds from this YAK social enterprise fundraiser help cover the cost of our Lanark Transportation shuttle service, making it easier for young people to access a safe, welcoming space in our community.

We’re so thankful to Perth Pie Co., Perth Museum, Picnic and SPARK books & curios for generously offering space in their stores to help sell our t-shirts and totes. Your support means so much and is a beautiful example of a community coming together for its youth.

Thank you for helping make Perth the caring, connected community that it is!

Love it when our consignment authors drop by the store to reconnect!

Emma Wallace came by yesterday, author and illustrator of one of my favourite children’s books, This Girl Built That. A great chance to show girls that women can work in any field they choose!

I asked Emma a bit about the process of constructing her book. In spite of a lot of skepticism around a first time author/first time illustrator getting published, Emma persevered and she had it all complete within 15 months! Pretty impressive, especially when you factor in that she was working full time while doing it.

So much fun to catch up, snap a few photos and to get her to sign a few copies while here! We have three signed copies available- pop in and take a peak at one soon!!
