Open Arms Baptist Church

Join us this Sunday for “Serving: Putting Love Into Practice” as we reflect on Christ’s example of humble service. Jesus came not to be served, but to serve, showing us that genuine love is often expressed through simple, selfless acts of kindness.

Together, we’ll discover how serving others—even in the quiet, unseen moments—reflects the heart of Christ and brings glory to God.

We look forward to seeing you!

We pray for CFB Wainwright, for those lost and injured, as well as for their families and co-workers. We pray for firefighters, emergency workers and hospital personnel as they cope with the aftermath of this tragedy. We pray for a hurting and mourning community- for all these, may they find strength, courage and healing from the support of a country who cares, but more so from the God who loves them, who sees and knows their heartbreak.

Prime Minister Mark Carney speaks about CFB Wainwright tragedy Four people have been killed and dozens have been injured following...

Join us this Sunday as we explore what it truly means to love our neighbour.

Through the parable of the Good Samaritan, we’ll look at how Jesus calls us to show compassion beyond what is comfortable or convenient—even to those we may find difficult to love.

Come be encouraged and challenged to put your faith into action as we learn what it looks like to reflect the heart of Christ in the way we love others.

Come join us at OA in Parrsboro on November 14th from 1-3pm to create a Christmas door hangar. There will be painting, gluing, laughter and snacks. You get to choose one of the three designs (or more if you wish to complete another at home), each for 35$. You MUST pre-register by November 2nd by messaging Rachel Collins and e-transferring your $ to [email protected]. Please remember to specify which hangar you would like. As the pieces must be cut in advance, the earlier you sign up, the better! Come have some fun and go home with a new decoration for Christmas!

Lots of good things happening at Open Arms this month, from prayer and bible study, to Love in Action in our community, and learning how to better connect with and serve our neighbours. All fulfill our mission statement: Knowing Jesus and making Jesus known through Love, Faith, Truth and Action.

Open Arms Church is built on the mission statement: Knowing Jesus and Making Jesus Known through faith, truth, love and action. One of the ways we get to show our love for the community is woodchucks for those who are unable to take care of the chore themselves. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to bless two households already this season.
