So, we had a beautiful day here in the foothills of Alberta. We hit 17 degrees (Celsius). We checked all the horses who were wearing blankets and decided to let them feel the sun on their coats. Alpine thoroughly enjoyed the privilege….. 🙄😂🙄

🌟Pony Riding Lessons at Cymric Brae Stables! 🌟

Are your kids eager to learn how to ride? 🐴✨ Our boutique Beginner Pony Lesson Program was specifically designed for children who are age 6+, brand new to riding, just starting out, or are looking for a program with a stronger emphasis on the foundations of riding.

At Cymric Brae Stables (west of Okotoks), young riders will learn on our beautiful, professionally trained and schooled Section B Welsh ponies. Welsh ponies are the perfect partners for little ones building confidence and skills.

Our program places a strong emphasis on safety and foundational riding skills, ensuring every child develops proper balance, communication, and confidence from the very start. Riders will gain:
✅ Safe handling skills on the ground
✅ Strong foundations in horsemanship
✅ Correct riding basics that will set them up for future success

This is the perfect introduction for kids who love ponies and want to learn in a fun, supportive, and safe environment.

The green machines are out cleaning paddocks and shelters, and bedding shelters, getting ready for winter. We have room for two outdoor boarders if anyone is looking. Also have a few indoor stalls available!!

The ribbons for the show have arrived. It’s only a small, schooling show but these are so cute!!! 🥰
Tomorrow is going to be fun, regardless of the weather!!

We are having some guests at Cymric Brae Stables this week. They are having a clinic with Coach Aidan and then will practice their skills in a schooling show that we are holding.
If anyone would like to join us for the clinic or shows, please message the page. We are focusing on jumpers and the show is from poles on the ground to .80.
We have ribbons!!!
We are also holding a hunt on Sunday. It will be small groups of up to five riders and is a perfect way to introduce riders (and horses) to the hunt atmosphere.

We had a fantastic Fall Finale at RMSJ! Lots of rounds for the ponies and they just got better and better. Put Farmore Reminiscent and Farmore Iconic on your radar, you will be seeing great things from them!!
