I've posted this alteration before, but here's a more detailed look at the work involved shortening shirt sleeves.

Understanding all the steps to a tee, makes everything go back into place perfectly.

If you know anything about the "bias" of fabric, it's on the 45° of the fabric and very stretchy. Sewing/alterations can be a nightmare.

Love the colour of this gown that needed the bodice lifted at the collar and hemmed. Although the bodice was originally flat, when it was cut down it gets wider. It turned out great!

The hemming can be nice to you or not so nice. I saw a video showing a new technique, so I tried it and was very pleased with the results 😀

As bridal season winds down, another groom needed my expertise.

Cyril is a resident of another province when a friend was visiting and saw his tuxedo was just not fitting properly. Through a video chat, we chalked his shoulders that needed shortened, marked to take in the back, marked to shorten the length and let the length of the trousers down.

And....a special request of an embroidery for inside.

With a short timeline and shipping it back without a fitting, fingers were crossed.

Mission accomplished!!! He looked so handsome and I think his smile says it all.

New jeans - new length - old hem = Euro Hem.

I've tried the faux Euro, but still in love with the authentic!

Special requests for weddings isn't always for the bride, and now that the happy couple were married this past weekend, I can now post 😀

The groom needed some tailoring done to his suit. No problem....but "can you change the lining inside the jacket?" Absolutely not an issue.

They wanted something special, and collected photos of their life together putting it into printed fabric! How amazing is that?

Every detail was perfectly replicated including all pockets and labels.

Does your body type create a "baggy seat?"

There is a way to fix that. It's not taking in the sides and/or not always corrected by taking in the seat. A lot of times it's because there is too much fabric in the seat area itself. By lifting the extra fabric and removing it, the difference creates a perfect fit.

This pair of trousers needed the seat lifted and taken in.

Beautiful bride Olivia married Devin this past weekend and I had the privilege of altering both of their attire ❤️

Her designer gown needed two sizes taken in. Several of the loops needed repair, then more did. So it was decided to remove the elastic loops and put in ones that I made.

His suit needed the trousers and jacket both shortened.

From the bride........"I’ve never been able to wear a strapless dress out ever, so this was so nice !! It fit perfect."

Thank you to the stunning couple for trusting me with the work and congratulations 🎉🍾

Replacing the broken zipper in your old jeans is a personal choice.

*are they your favourite?
*you don't mind paying for a professional job?

If the answer is yes to both, then look at the results.

*a heavier zipper provided in shop
*the exact colour of jean thread used

34 years providing quality work 🎉

Wedding season is still keeping me busy and pictures will be posted soon.

For old and new customers, I just wanted to confirm my new location (summer 2024), since there seems to be some confusion on exactly where I might me; and no I didn't retire.
