Connecting, collaborating, and mapping the future! 🌐

Lennox and Addington County was proud to host the Eastern Ontario GIS User Group (EOGUG) on Tuesday, September 29! 🌍📍

We had the privilege of bringing together GIS (Geographic Information Systems) staff from 15 municipalities across Eastern Ontario. It was a fantastic opportunity to collaborate, share innovative ideas, and discuss how we can use mapping and spatial data to better serve our communities.

Thank you to everyone who attended and contributed to a great day of learning and networking!

🚒 Fire Prevention Week’s theme, “Charge into Fire Safety: Safe Charging Is a Superpower,” highlights the importance of safe charging in rural Ontario. Lithium-ion batteries power many everyday tools and equipment.

Charge batteries in a temperature-controlled space, use approved chargers, and keep them away from exits and flammable materials like hay and sawdust. Check with your local fire department for Fire Prevention Week events and safety tips.
