Did you know? Since 2004, Aesthetics certification in British Columbia has been voluntary, following the deregulation of the province’s cosmetology industry. This means a formal Aesthetics diploma is not a provincial requirement to practice.

At Pure Spa, every esthetician on our team has completed formal Aesthetics education and earned their diploma and certification - and their learning continues.

Our education goes beyond the steps of a treatment. We study skin structure and function, how products and treatments work, and common concerns affecting the skin, feet and nails.

That knowledge helps us understand what we’re seeing, tailor your service, recognize when a treatment should be adapted or avoided, and know when a concern needs attention from a healthcare professional.
