Eden Equine is a small English coaching and training program located in the town of Merritt. We want to share the equine experience with everyone.
At Eden Equine we teach riders of all ages & skill levels. Either on one of our school horses or their own/leased horse. The focus is on the foundation, not only of the rider's basic seat & aids in the saddle but the horse's training as well, utilizing the classic training scale. Whatever your equine goals are, we will make sure you are safe & have loads of fun while doing it. At Eden Equine, we do a little bit of everything from the hunter/jumpers, to eventing & everything in between. Riders have to opportunity to learn not only the skills required in the saddle, but about the stable management side of everything as well.

Today I had plans. Goals. I made sure I got an early start, did the important things first and was ready to attack the day. Buuuut…..Katniss has other ideas. So today I took her lead. She said we are sitting and resting. Just be still with me in the moment. And this to me is the hardest thing. I wanted to work but this work is equally as important. So today we sat.

Spent the day on Sunday watching & learning all about cross country with a little group. Although Mother Nature was a bit wild it was still a great outing.

Todays reading…..
I have been following Tik’s path for many years now. Initially as just someone I met at a local event but over the years seeing what he is working on has also allowed me to experiment with “other”.
Check out the few Road to the Horse videos out there, his classes on Noelle Floyd, his book, and he’ll be in Chilliwack next month at the all breeds expo. I can’t wait to watch him work in person.
Making History I am on a plane from Kentucky to Orlando as I write this, crying even before I begin typing. I am heading back to Ocala after watching my friend, Tik Maynard, win the world championship of c**t starting at Road to the Horse. And he didn’t just win – he set a new precedent.
