💬Join us on Friday 30th October at 3:30 - 4:30 pm for this FREE workshop presented by helpful volunteers from the Cranbrook Kimberley Hospice Society.
🙏These sessions, open to everyone, focus on helping you get the care that is right for you, even when you are unable to speak for yourself.
❓What is Advance Care Planning?
Advance care planning (ACP) is the process of thinking about what matters most to you in your life and what that means for your health and personal care.
It helps you share your wishes and preferences with the people who are important to you so they can help make sure you get the care you want.
📚Participants will be given an ACP work booklet by Interior Health to help start the planning process - and yours to keep!
This event is free and DROP-IN, and is presented by the Cranbrook Kimberley Hospice Society 👉https://www.ckhospice.ca/

Hello Kimberley 👋
With Kimberley's 🗳Final Voting Day in the municipal election quickly approaching on October 17 (with Advance Voting already underway☑️), and with October being 🍁Canadian Library Month, the Kimberley Public Library has invited all candidates for Mayor and City Council to answer one question ❓ about the role of our 📚public library in the community.
Throughout Canadian Library Month, we've been encouraging our community to get and think about the many ways public libraries contribute to the communities they serve. With a municipal election happening at the same time, we asked the people seeking to represent Kimberley for the next term this question:
Q. What do you see as the essential services and roles of the Kimberley Public Library in our community, and how would you support the Library in continuing to meet the needs of Kimberley residents?
We'll be sharing the responses we receive as part of an in-the-library election display at the Kimberley Public Library during the week of October 13–17, leading up to Final Voting Day on Saturday, October 17, and also on the Library website 👇
Candidate responses are available here:

✋A message from the Kimberley Library:
"As part of our commitment to intellectual freedom and access to information, the Library provides access to a variety of community resources and viewpoints. Inclusion of a resource does not imply endorsement or support by the Library.
We encourage community members to explore these resources and make their own informed decisions about the information they contain."

Starting October 13, library services that use OverDrive, such as Libby and BC Libraries to Go, will require your library card number and PIN when logging in.
So, we’d like to remind all of our Libby-using library patrons that your library card number can be found under the barcode on the back of your card, and your PIN is automatically set to the last 4 digits of the phone number on your library account (unless you’ve changed your PIN manually).
Not sure of your PIN? Stop by the Kimberley Public Library and we’ll be happy to help you out (and maybe you can check something else out while you’re here, because we’ve got lots of non-digital items too)! 📚
