Ten years ago, we set out to do things differently.

Not bigger. Not louder. Not more architectural. Just more deliberate.

Since then we've designed homes on the edge of the Atlantic, each one shaped by its place: the light, the weather, the way the salt changes everything it touches, and the way real people actually live.

We've changed our minds about plenty. We've learned a great deal, occasionally the hard way. We trust trends less and restraint more. And we're more certain than ever that good architecture isn't really about the architecture.

It's about making a place that makes life better.

Wild Salt has grown up alongside us, our family, our clients, and this wild little piece of coast we call home.

Ten years in, we're still asking questions. Probably more than ever. And we feel like we're only just getting started.

Here's to the next ten.

Wild Salt, 2016–2026.

Perched on the edge, where glass meets sky and stone holds the weight of time, this is a place where the wind whispers secrets to the sea. A sanctuary suspended between earth and air, built not to tame the wild, but to embrace it.

Anyone can build a house, but not everyone can craft architecture. And that is the difference.

A walkway, a threshold, a moment in between.

This covered path, linking home to guest studio, is more than passage; it is pause. A quiet space where the season lingers, where snow gathers in soft drifts, where time slows before moving forward.

Before arrival, there is stillness.
Before change, reflection.

Winter holds on, but something is shifting. Step through, spring is waiting.

Warmth meets Wild
The fire crackles, the wind murmurs, the golden glow of wood-clad walls holds the hush of the season. A home that breathes, shifting with the tides, open to the rhythm of the land.

Bare feet on warm floors, hands moving in quiet creation. The ocean beyond rises and falls, an unspoken conversation between home and horizon.

Here, time stretches. Light lingers. Every season finds a place to rest. ✨

This isn’t a downgrade, it’s an evolution.

Hiya, it’s been awhile. Just popping in to say hello and share a little about myself.

I’ve always felt a little different, drawn to architecture not for the status or prestige, but for the quiet magic of creation. To me, being an Architect is a privilege, an intimate dance between dreams and reality. I get to shape the spaces where people’s deepest hopes take root, where their lives quietly unfold in beauty and warmth. Architecture isn’t just what I do; it’s who I am. It lives in me, breathes with me.

I design homes that feel like a deep exhale—calm, effortless, alive. Spaces that shift with the light, whisper with the seasons, and settle into the land as if they’ve always been there. More than shelter, a home should be a sanctuary, a quiet companion to life’s most tender moments. A place where the soul feels at peace, where inspiration lingers in the air.

Here in Nova Scotia, life moves to the rhythm of the land. The tides rise and fall, the forests shift and sigh, the wind carries stories from the sea. That movement, that breath, is what I weave into every home I create. Not just places to live, but spaces that feel profoundly, unmistakably alive.

If that resonates with you, I’d love to connect ✨

The Intersection of Nature and Design

The future of design isn’t just about sustainability, it’s about deepening our relationship with the natural world.

What’s one architectural space that made you feel connected to nature? Was it a building, a park, or even your own home?

Let’s design with purpose. Let’s build with meaning.

Life Off-grid

And even on the hardest days, there’s a quiet magic in knowing our little home thrives on the simplest gifts: sunshine, rain, firewood, and love.
