🚧 Change Room Renovations Are Coming! 🚧
Starting Monday, October 19, 2026, we'll begin a phased renovation of our Change Rooms, featuring new tiling, showers, partitions, vanities, toilets, sinks, lighting, lockers, and benches.
This phased approach ensures Change Room access throughout the project.
🔹 Phase 1 - Men's Wet Change Room:
Closing | Sunday, October 18 at 9pm.
The current Women's Dry Change Room will temporarily serve as the Men's Wet Change Room, with pool access. The Universal Change Room, Women's Wet Change Room, and Men's Dry Change Room will continue to operate as normal.
To help things run smoothly, we encourage you to arrive dressed for your workout when possible, bring only the essentials, and allow a few extra minutes during peak hours.
These renovations are projected to take 90 days.
Thank you for your patience as we make these improvements! We'll continue to share updates and reopening timelines throughout the renovation.

👀 There’s a lot more that goes on behind the scenes to keep our pool systems working around the clock - our pumps, filtration, and heating systems all work together to keep the water clean, safe, and temperate.
It’s not glamorous, but it’s essential!

We're excited to provide an update regarding the previously announced naming partnership with Manulife.
Starting this Fall, we'll welcome members and guests to the Manulife Canada Games Centre.
What’s important to know:
- We continue to operate as a non-profit society, and an HRM-owned facility
- Our programs, memberships, and services will not change
- Our mission to support healthy, active living for everyone stays the same
This partnership allows us to build on that mission. Manulife shares our belief that health and wellness are essential to a thriving community, and this collaboration will help strengthen the programs and services you already value, while supporting future capital investments in the Centre.

Each October for Mi’kmaq History Month, community activities, events, sharing and showcasing of Mi’kmaq history takes place across Nova Scotia.
This month, keep an eye on our Centre screens as they display Mi’kmaw words about movement and activity!

This past weekend, some of our CGC staff played in the motionball Marathon of Sport Halifax event alongside two local Special Olympics athletes.
Altogether, the motionball fundraiser raised $68,000 for the Special Olympics Canada Foundation!
Thank you to the organizers, volunteers and athletes who made it such a great day.
