The Guelph Tool Library is a lending library of tools where you can borrow tools for food preparation, food preservation, gardening, renovation, arts, etc.

Thank you Scona Industries Limieed for your generous donation to Guelph Tool Library's Circular Computer Project!
Circular Computer collects gently used, working laptops and tablets, wipes them, and then gives them to community partners for distribution to those in need.
This keeps working tech out of the landfill and in the hands of people who can use it.

The Guelph Tool Library will be closed from Friday, July 31st through Monday, August 3rd and will reopen on Tuesday August 4th.
Freehub and the Guelph Seed Library will also be closed during this time.
Due dates for borrowed items will be adjusted accordingly.
Need some stuff to do indoors to stay out of the smoke and the heat? We gotchu covered! Come on by!

Freehub, our volunteer based bike repair program has new summer hours effective Thursday July 16th.
They'll be open for hands on bike repairs Tuesdays & Thursdays 6-8pm and Saturdays 1-4pm.
Come check out our booth at the Downtown Guelph Garage Sale! We are located on Macdonell Street and will be selling tools, appliances, games, and more from 10-4 today. Every purchase supports the Guelph Tool Library. Enjoy this beautiful, sunny day downtown with us!

Do you have an old laptop or tablet collecting dust or going unused? Donate it to help bridge the digital divide for equity-deserving community members without reliable access to technology. We’re partnered with the ’s Circular Computer Project to collect 100 used laptops and tablets this June as part of the 100 Devices for Digital Equity initiative. Drop off your device (including its corresponding charging cable) at any Library branch and sign a waiver to release it to the Guelph Tool Library. They’ll ensure your device is securely wiped and refurbished. There’s only a few days left to donate! Visit your local branch or check out the Guelph Tool Library’s website to learn more.
