This is one of the biggest shifts I make when I start planning with a family.

Instead of asking "how do we fit everything in", I want to know what matters most and how we build a day around that, without cramming in so much that nobody has room to breathe.

A schedule with no flexibility breaks the first time something changes: an attraction closes, someone's tired, lunch runs long. A day built around a few real priorities can bend without falling apart.

At some point, Disney vacation planning stops being research and starts becoming information overload.

You don't need 37 tabs.

You need to know:

❓ What's realistic?
❓ What actually needs planning?
❓ And what can you stop worrying about?

That's one of the biggest differences between booking a vacation and planning a vacation.

Be honest. How many tabs are open right now?

I know. It's Disney.

But that doesn't mean every child wants a character hug, photo, or conversation.

Some kids want to wave from six feet away.

Some want to watch.

Some want to skip the interaction completely.

And none of these choices mean they're doing Disney wrong.

The goal isn't to make your child experience Disney the way somebody else thinks they should.
It's to create a day they will enjoy.

Your Walt Disney World Resort is part of the vacation, not just where you sleep.

The best value isn't automatically the least or most expensive. It's the option that works best for your family.

That's why resort selection is one of the parts of vacation planning where I ask a lot of questions. I want to understand what matters most to your family so we can find an option that fits the way you actually want to vacation.

Sometimes the vacation isn't the hard pat.

Getting there is.

And if your child struggles with waiting, transitions, uncertainty, crowds or sensory overload, the travel day can use up a surprising amount of everyone's capacity before you've even arrived.

That means the solution isn't necessarily "make your child better at travelling."

It may be the "plan the travel day differently."

That can mean fewer unnecessary transitions, more time, familiar foods, comfort items and a much clearer idea of what comes next.

There is a weird pressure that comes with a Walt Disney World vacation.

You've spent the money. You've travelled. You feel like you should be making the most of every second.
