I’ve also posted this on my personal Facebook so if we’re friends and you see it twice.. apologies! These 2 just deserve all the love (and newsfeed space!) in the world!

15 years ago today, I went to a temporary location where the NBSPCA was holding over 200 dogs they had seized from puppy mills. A couple of days prior, I had volunteered to take one older dog as a foster.  After I had hung up from that phone call, I was called back and asked if it would be possible to take two puppies that were bonded. No one else was able to take two dogs and they did not want to separate them. I agreed.

When I got there, I found two little adorable shelties (I didn’t know what breed they would be, and I was not even remotely familiar with shelties) who were absolutely terrified. They were both jammed into the very back of a medium sized crate. They were terrified and shaking. 

After getting them home and eventually coaxing them out of the crate, I picked them up and put them on my chest while laying on the couch. They cuddled into me and slept one at a time…  one would always stay alert while the other slept. I remember lying on that spot for hours on end.. wanting to p*e so badly but not wanting to disturb or scare them 😆

I had them for 4 months before it was their turn to be neutered. At that point the people at the SPCA had decided that I definitely needed to adopt them and even offered me a buy one get one free deal for both. Once again, I agreed.

They went from tiny little terrified puppies, to wise old seniors in the blink of an eye it seems. We have quite literally done everything together for the past 15 years straight. I have not travelled anywhere that I couldn’t take my dogs in 15 years. I’ve not gone for one single walk, run, paddle in a kayak or any sort of vacation without them that whole time.

We’ve had some amazing adventures together. Including hundreds of hours spent at the ocean and almost as many on the river. We’ve been inseparable. They’ve saved my life more times than I can count. There have been so many days that I did not want to keep going but knew I had to for these boys. I mean, no one else can even take Floyd outside for a p*e so they really do need me around 😆

I know they both have a lot more years behind them than ahead of them now, but I hope we get a few more years of adventuring together. I love them more than words can express.

Here’s to 15 years with the very best friends anyone could ever hope for!

I personally love the neutral Malas but I have to admit that I’m very drawn to this one! For anyone who loves purple, this is a must have!

One-of-a-kind meditation beads that are hand-knotted with the following stones..

The focal on this piece is a large Druzy Geode slice that has a gold galvanic wrap. The focal is finished with a purple tassel that dangles below the stone. The back bead is a golden owl 🦉 and the gold Hematite spacers are strategically placed to make it ideal for counting mantras during meditation 🧘🏼‍♀️ Those Hematite spacers are barrel shaped rather than round like the others, so you’ll be able to tell them apart by touch alone. They are placed at 9 bead intervals (so 9, 18, 27, 36, 45 and 54 on both sides) 📿

This Mala hangs at approximately 21.5” when worn, and the total knotted length is 37”

The Druzy Geode focal measures 50x35x5mm and the tassel measures 30mm
