South Country Fair looks a little different through every set of eyes.

Some people remember the music. Some remember the workshops. Some remember the late-night campfire conversations.

Happy Thanksgiving Fair Family!

We often thank the people who make the fair possible, but we'd also like to thank the land itself. The river valley provides a place to gather, wander, rest, reconnect, and enjoy music and community in a setting unlike any other.

Its weathered cottonwoods, winding paths, and riverside setting are a big part of what makes the fair feel like home. During the warm days of the festival, we were grateful for every patch of shade we could find beneath those old branches.

Those old trees have seen a lot over the years, and we're thankful they continue to share their beauty with all of us.

A heartfelt thank you to Lowell Yellow Horn (Spiitawakasi/Tall Deer) of the Piikani Nation for bringing the tipi to South Country Fair and for helping us open and close this year's festival.

Through his generosity, knowledge, and commitment to sharing Blackfoot culture and teachings, Lowell helps create a space for reflection, learning, connection, and respect. The tipi stands as a welcoming gathering place throughout the weekend and serves as an important reminder of the land, history, and relationships that make our community stronger.

We are deeply grateful for the time, care, and spirit that Lowell brings to the fair each year. Thank you for helping us begin and end our festival in a good way. ❤️

Please join us in thanking Lowell for all he contributes to the South Country Fair community.
