On Wednesday, the Home from The Sea Foundation was honored to attend the Turning The Tide Marine Industry Awards. As the Charity of Choice for the event, we are beyond grateful to receive such a generous donation towards the continued upkeep and development of our Interpretation Centre and Sealers Memorial Site.

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to all of the event sponsors for their continued support of Turning the Tide, and by extension, the Home from The Sea Foundation.

Congratulations to all of the award winners for 2026; defining the past, present and future of the marine industry in this province and beyond.

Please be advised that our parking lot is partially blocked due to a downed tree. Please park across the street when visiting our Interpretation Centre until the tree is removed. Anyone interested in removing and hauling away the tree can contact us tomorrow morning at 709-476-3003.

We will be open again tomorrow from 9-5 and our Roots, Rants and Roars discount will be available until 5pm for anyone still in the area tomorrow with valid proof of attendance.

The Roots, Rants and Roars Festival is fast approaching, and to celebrate, we are offering reduced admission rates for anyone attending the Festival, all weekend long!

Just bring valid proof of attendance! (Purchase Receipt, Wristband, etc.)

Individual Festival Rate - $4/person (normally $7)
Group Festival Rate (4+ people) - $3/person (normally $5)

*For the Group Festival Rate, only one person in the group needs to show proof of attendance for all to qualify*
