Harcourt House Galleries and Office are open to the public Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm.

Harcourt House is one of only four public galleries, and one of three artist-run centres in Edmonton. We deliver a host of services to both artists and the community – and act as an alternative location for the presentation, distribution and promotion of contemporary art. In our exhibition programming we seek both emerging and established artists to present work that aims to engage. The gallery annually presents a minimum of 10 five-week exhibitions, from local, provincial and national artists, collectives and arts organizations.

Join us for the opening reception of two new exhibitions:

Wenda Salomons: gesture
Main Gallery
Salomons explores the Alberta landscape through abstraction, movement, and experimental photographic processes. Her photographs combine pinhole exposure with camera movement to create atmospheric, dreamlike landscapes with a painterly quality. The exhibition invites viewers to consider landscape not simply as something observed, but as something experienced through movement, perception, and the photographic process.

Raymond Thériault: Urban Portraits
Haakonson Family Gallery
Thériault’s vibrant and meticulously detailed paintings explore contemporary urban life through architecture and city spaces. Concrete, glass, brick, stonework, curbs, and doorways come together with subtle human presence to create richly layered scenes that capture the energy and character of the city.

Exhibitions: October 9 – November 21, 2026
Opening Reception: Friday, October 9, 2026, at 7:00 PM

We hope to see you there!
