Last month we introduced our topic for this year at After Hours. Our 9 months together will be based out of 1 Cor.12:4-11

"There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8 To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he distributes them to each one, just as he determines."

SO, every month, along with worship and communion, we're going to tackle one of the 9 gifts of the Holy Spirit - and this month is going to be a doozy! Bring your group, a friend, or come solo and join us Oct.7th as we dig into the Gift of faith.

See you next week!

A Place to Gather Tomorrow

We know today has been a heavy and emotional day for many in our community, especially our students, families, teachers, and youth.

Tomorrow, September 17th, our church will be open during lunch for anyone who needs a safe place to come, sit with others, pray, talk, or simply be present.

There will be food, quiet space, people available to listen, and an opportunity to pray together. You don’t have to have the right words, and you don’t have to talk if you don’t want to.

Our hope is simply to create a place where our young people and community can feel supported and reminded that they are not alone.
