#545 - The Cornwall Police Service is asking for public assistance to help identify a suspect in relation to a fraud investigation.

#545 - There were 185 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the weekend.

A 33-year-old woman from Cornwall was charged with dangerous operation causing bodily harm after CPS officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Saturday.

In separate investigations, two people were charged with impaired operation, while a third individual was charged with operation while prohibited as a result of a previous impaired operation charge.

#545 – The Cornwall Police Service is investigating a motor vehicle collision which occurred at the intersection of Pitt Street and Ninth Street on Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026, at approximately 11 a.m.

Police are asking anyone who may have dashcam footage of a black Nissan Murano travelling southbound on Pitt Street between Thirteenth Street and Ninth Street around that time to contact Cst. Banville at 613-933-5000, ext. 2789.

#545 - The Cornwall Police Service is investigating a theft which occurred from a local business on South Branch Road on Sept. 14, 2026.

Police are asking anyone with video footage from South Branch Road between McConnell Avenue and Boundary Road, between the hours of 1 and 3 a.m., to contact Cst. Irving at 613-933-5000 ext. 2776.

#545 - The Cornwall Police Service was proud to once again take part in the Eastern Counties Prostate Cancer Ride in support of Ride For Dad this morning! 🏍️

Ride For Dad Canada brings riders together across the country to raise funds for prostate cancer research and awareness, helping make a difference in the fight against prostate cancer.

A special shoutout to our very own D/Cst. Flipsen for helping co-organize this great event, and to Cst. Booth-Reddick of the Traffic Unit for providing traffic control and support.

Chief Stevenson was also on hand to show his support on this beautiful Saturday morning, while Sp/Cst. Leroux and fellow members of the CPS team were volunteering and lending a hand throughout the day.

And, of course, a big thanks to Cst. Joy for stopping by to support the cause! 💙

#308 - The Cornwall Police Service is asking motorists to avoid the intersection of Pitt Street and Ninth Street due to a motor vehicle collision.

The intersection will be closed pending further investigation.

#545 - The Cornwall Police Service is excited to officially welcome Cst. Shelby Beckstead to the ranks, following her swearing-in ceremony this morning at the Cornwall Courthouse.

Cst. Beckstead has been a valued member of the CPS family since 2020, beginning her journey as an Auxiliary officer. In 2024, she successfully completed the Community Safety Officer (CSO) selection process and went on to excel in the role for the past two years.

Most recently, she graduated from Basic Constable Training at the Ontario Police College, marking another important milestone in her journey toward becoming a police officer.

We are thrilled to welcome Cst. Beckstead as a Constable and proud to see her continued growth within the CPS!

#545 - There were 51 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours.

A 31-year-old woman from Cornwall was arrested on the strength of an outstanding warrant and additionally charged with theft after allegedly stealing a student’s scooter on Thursday.

#545 - There were 67 calls for service in the City of Cornwall over the last 24 hours.

A 12-year-old youth from Cornwall was arrested and charged following an investigation into a video circulating on social media depicting vandalism at the Cornwall Cenotaph.
