Minimalism Wines
human scale - regenerative & sustainable - minimal intervention - soulful w**es with a pulse This little piece of the pie is where we find our self in.
Passionate about w**e made with integrity, we decided to take the plunge down the rabbit hole and share pieces of our favourite regions, varietals, and w**emakers with British Columbians. Whether we've met the producer first-hand and thoroughly vetted them or done extensive research before approaching anyone, our goal at Minimalism Wines is to always provide you with w**es of the highest quality and drinkability, no corners cut. After years of working with local w**eries, w**e shops, and distributors both small and large, we came to learn there was a large gap in a category that deserved to be filled with so much more than giant conglomerates and soulless, volume pushing brands. Though this gap still persists, there is a growing demand for w**es that are environmentally conscious, that tell a story of their grower and maker, and that express their varietal through clarity and purity. Welcome to Minimalism Wines, where we import and distribute w**es that are undressed, and reflective of their grower, maker, terroir, and varietal.

Have you heard? Ori Marani is back! đŹđȘ
A few w**es make you stop and think âthis is why I love w**eâ Ori Marani is one of them â€ïž
The story begins with Bastien Warskotte, a Ch*****ne-born w**emaker raised in a family of vignerons. After studying in Burgundy and working harvests around the world, he met Nino Gvantseladze. They fell in love and eventually followed that love to Georgia, Ninoâs homeland. From that meeting of two people, two cultures and two w**emaking traditions, Ori Marani was born. The name means âtwo cellarsâ in Georgian.
Based in Igoeti, they work with small growers across Georgia, focusing on indigenous varieties, thoughtful farming and w**es that marry Georgian tradition with Bastienâs Ch*****ne sensibility: qvevri, wild fermentation, old French oak, minimal intervention, freshness and texture.
Their traditional-method sparklings follow the Ch*****ne method, using natural grape juice from harvest rather than conventional dosage. Aged in old French barrels and qvevri, often on lees for 15+ months, theyâre unmistakably Georgian yet beautifully French in spirit.
This arrival includes several w**es brand new to BC, plus the return of an all-time favourite:

GUESS WHOâS BACK?
Originally from Normandy, Frédéric Brouca spent years abroad after meeting his Canadian wife, Elaine, in Lille. Together they lived in Canada, India, Singapore and the United States before returning to France and settling in the rugged hills of FaugÚres. In 2012, they took over 25 acres of mature vineyards that had already been organically farmed for more than 20 years, releasing their first w**es in 2013.
Working with the schist slopes of FaugÚres, Frédéric follows a low-intervention philosophy: organic farming, hand harvesting, native fermentations and minimal sulphur. The result is a range of w**es that are energetic, fresh and deeply expressive of place.

Last year in Verona, I met Valentina di Camillo of . What started as a quick introduction and chat about a partnership turned into a long conversation about life, business, and the beautifully chaotic w**e industry we both love so much. We laughed, shared stories, and got into the real, gritty side of what it means to pour your heart into this work. Fast forward a year later, and her w**es are nearly sold out across BC â and now sheâs here for Top Drop.
This is why I love what I do. The connections. The people. The relationships built over a glass of w**e that somehow become so much bigger than the w**e itself. Whether youâre a consumer, buyer, or w**emaker, I value every connection deeply and never take your support for granted.
THANK YOU for loving Valentinaâs w**es enough to sell us out of the Spumante Pecorino and Cerasuolo. Weâll still be pouring them today and tomorrow so you know you need them in your life next time theyâre back and I know to bring more to supply you with these delicious w**es (while pointing you toward where to find them locally at this time). Youâll also get to taste her beautiful Passerina, Trebbiano, and Montepulciano dâAbruzzo which I have limited quantities of, that I literally put on hold so the rest of you could work with these lovely w**es for now!
Find us tonight at the Euro Plaza, tomorrow at The Fresh Sheet seminar, and of course at âs main event that brings all of us together from around the world.
Love you all

From Okanagan Falls, Synchromesh continues to carve out some of BCâs most compelling expressions of Riesling, Pinot Noir, and Cab Francâgrown quite literally along fault lines. The Storm Haven estate spans 107 acres between 1,300 and 2,000 feet, with multiple aspects and finely tuned micro-blocks. Soils shift dramatically across the site: sandy loam over gravel and decomposed granite, mixed clay-loam with rock debris, and striking quartz and slate intrusions tracing the Okanagan Fault Line. Drainage is fast, vines are naturally stressed, and each block speaks clearly through its own acid profile, texture, and mineral character.
Farming is meticulous and low-yielding, with blocks managed individually and a portion of the estate preserved as natural wildlife habitat. In the cellar, fermentations are native, additives are avoided, and w**es are bottled with minimal fining and filtrationâletting site do the talking. Youâll see it clearly in the glass: quartz-driven blocks bring electric acidity and flinty lift; clay-loam delivers mid-palate texture; gravel and granite add mineral cut and tension.
The 2025 Riesling is all energy and precisionâbright citrus, lemon zest, and crab apple aromatics, with candied lemon and green mango on the palate, finishing just *barely* off-dry. A vibrant, crowd-pleasing style that holds serious structure. This entry-level stunner marks the culmination of 15 years working with 21B Riesling across multiple Okanagan Valley terroirsâNaramata, Okanagan Falls and Oliver. After several vintages of reduced yields, availability is finally strong again. Lock it in while you can đ±

Introducing OkeanĂłs â A Salish Sea Experiment by
OkeanĂłs began as a question rather than a plan: if weâre trying to make w**es that feel true to where they come from, how could we ignore the sea that surrounds us?
Long before modern w**emaking relied on sulphur, ancient cultures turned to seawater as a natural preservative. Inspired by that history, the folks at Averill Creek wondered what might happen if they explored this idea on Vancouver Island. So they did something simple, and slightly strange. Pinot Noir and GewĂŒrztraminer were briefly soaked in water from the Salish Sea before fermentation. No additions. No corrections. Just curiosity, and a willingness to see where it led. What emerged surprised them.
OkeanĂłs carries the freshness and elegance typically associated with Averill Creek's w**es, but with an added layer of texture and gentle salinity. A w**e that feels both grounded and fluid, familiar and a little untamed. It doesnât fit neatly into a category, and we all like it that way.
Named for the Greek personification of the ocean, Okeanós is a reminder that w**e has always been shaped by movement, risk, and connection. This bottle is our way of holding space for all of that⊠and inviting you into the experiment.
