A warm bowl in your hands, steam rising and a spoonful of comfort—suddenly, watching the snow feels a little nicer. 🍲❤️

We can’t season away winter. But we can make it taste better.

🍋 Quick Jake’s Lemon Pepper & Friendly Cajun Soup Ready in about 20 minutes • Serves 4

You’ll need:

1 tbsp olive oil

1 small onion, chopped

1 carrot, thinly sliced

2 garlic cloves, minced

4 cups vegetable or chicken broth

1 can chickpeas (540 mL), drained and rinsed

1 tsp Jake’s Lemon Pepper

½ tsp Jake’s Friendly Cajun, plus more to taste

2 handfuls baby spinach

Let’s get soupy:

Heat oil in a pot over medium heat. Cook onion and carrot for 5 minutes.

Add garlic, Jake’s Lemon Pepper and Friendly Cajun. Stir for 30 seconds.

Add broth and chickpeas. Bring to a boil, then simmer for 10 minutes, until the carrot is tender.

Stir in spinach until wilted. Taste and adjust the seasonings.

Want it heartier? Toss in leftover cooked chicken or rice.

Grab a bowl. The shovelling can wait. 😉
