2nd Berwick Scouting Group

💚 ❤️THANK YOU FROM 2ND BERWICK SCOUTING 💚❤️

After discovering that our shed had been broken into and items belonging to our youth were stolen, we were heartbroken and incredibly disappointed.

But what happened next reminded us just how amazing our community truly is. ❤️

We want to send a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who reached out, shared our post, offered donations, replaced items, provided financial support, or simply sent kind words.

The generosity and kindness shown to 2nd Berwick Scouting has been overwhelming.
These items weren't just “stuff” — they were equipment and supplies used to give our youth opportunities to learn, explore, build confidence, make memories and experience everything Scouting has to offer.

While one person's actions were disappointing, the response from our community has shown our youth something much more important: when something bad happens, there are always good people willing to step up and help. 💚

From all of our Scouters and youth at 2nd Berwick Scouting, thank you for standing behind us and reminding us how lucky we are to be part of such a wonderful community.

Thank you, Berwick and surrounding communities. We truly appreciate every single one of you! ⚜️

Because we so greatly appreciate your kindness, we want to give back. 😁

💔 We are incredibly disappointed and upset to have to share this.

Someone broke into our 2nd Berwick Scouting Shed behind Grand View Manor between Thursday September 24th and Sunday September 27th and stole items that belong to our youth.

These weren’t simply “things” sitting in a shed. They were equipment and supplies used to give our Beavers, Cubs and Scouts opportunities to learn new skills, explore, make memories and enjoy the Scouting program.

As a volunteer-run organization, we work hard and fundraise to provide these experiences for our youth. Knowing that someone chose to break in and take from a youth organization is heartbreaking, frustrating and incredibly disappointing.

You didn’t just steal from a shed — you stole from KIDS.

RCMP have been notified and are investigating.

If anyone has any information about the break-in or knows anything about the missing items, we ask that you please reach out.

Items we know were taken are:

New 28" Blackstone Grill with Cover
2 propane lanterns
1 20lbs propane tank
4 quart Dutch oven
3 10x10 canopies
2 scroll saws

We are proud of our Scouting Community, and while this is incredibly upsetting, we won’t let the actions of one person take away from everything our youth and volunteers have worked so hard to build. ⚜️

2nd Berwick Scouting

A HUGE thank you to Ron and his team at Berwick Home Hardware Building Centre from everyone at 2nd Berwick Scouting! ⚜️💙

We are incredibly grateful for your help in getting us a Blackstone griddle! Your generosity and support mean so much to our Scouting group and will help us cook up plenty of delicious meals (and probably a whole lot of pancakes! 🥞) at camps, events, and activities for years to come. It was extremely helpful at Berwick Gala Days!

We’re very fortunate to have local businesses like Berwick Home Hardware supporting youth in our community. Thank you for helping make Scouting adventures even better! 🔥🍔⚜️

🎉 GALA DAYS FUNDRAISER SUCCESS! 🎉

What an amazing Gala Days weekend for 2nd Berwick Scouting Group! ❤️💙

Despite the weather throwing some serious rain our way one day, we still had an incredibly successful fundraiser! And the best part? Not one complaint from our kids or our parents! They showed up, got to work, and made the best of it with smiles on their faces. ☔️🙌

A HUGE thank you to all of our youth and parents who volunteered their time. Your willingness to jump in, help wherever needed, and keep things moving made such a difference. It was wonderful to see everyone working together as a team for our group and our youth.

And of course, a special thank you to our Scouters who worked behind the scenes and on the front lines to make sure everything was where it needed to be and that we had what we needed to keep the fundraiser running smoothly. Your dedication and hard work do not go unnoticed! ❤️

Gala Days is an important fundraiser for our group and helps us provide more opportunities and experiences for our youth throughout the Scouting year. Every volunteer hour, every sale, and every helping hand contributes to making those opportunities possible.

We are so proud of everyone who stepped up and helped make Gala Days 2026 a success! 🎉

This is what Scouting is all about — teamwork, community, helping one another, and making memories along the way. ❤️💙

Thank you, 2nd Berwick! We couldn’t have done it without you! 👏

🦫 New Beavers welcome for September 2026!

2 of 2nd Berwick Scouting youth, 3rd year Scout Gavin Fraser and 2nd year Scout Hunter LeBlanc had an amazing opportunity this past week to attend Camp Nedaooe In Middle Musquodoboit as SIT's (Scouters in Training) along side 8 other Scouts at a Cub Camp for 30 youth.
They took on the responsibility of running the camp, monitoring the activities, trouble shooting situations, keeping the youth safe, on task and engaged.
They were exhausted, full of great stories when they returned home. They also now have a greater appreciation for all the work the Scouters of 2nd Berwick Scouting do to make the program happen.
Thank you to PEC and area Scouters Wayne, Annik, Monty, Peter, Jon, Nancy and Patrick for making this opportunity happen for them. They look forward to doing it again in the future!
