πŸ’š 1 tbsp Soy Sauce or Tamari

πŸ’š Optional: Add your favourite spices, such as black or cayenne pepper, paprika, sumac, cumin, onion powder, or garlic powder. Start with a pinch or around 1/8 tsp each to avoid over-seasoning.

2. Place in the preheated oven for 5 minutes.

3. Remove from the oven, stir well, and return to bake for another 5 minutes, monitoring closely to avoid burning. The seeds are done when they’re dry, beginning to puff up, and smell deliciously toasty 😍.

Meet Kernal Peanuts πŸ₯œ

We love supporting small farms and getting to know the people behind the foods we bring to you. This time, we’re introducing you to Kernal Peanuts, a long-standing, woman-owned peanut farm and operation in Ontario. πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦

We had such a wonderful visit with owner and farmer Nancy this year and got to see her operation firsthand. Kernal Peanuts is a true one-woman show, with Nancy at the heart of it all. She grows, roasts, and prepares her peanuts, and even has a little gift shop at the farm where visitors can stop in and shop.

Nancy may have been a little camera shy during our visit, but her wonderful energy certainly stayed with us! πŸ’š

We first brought her Red Skin Peanuts to Rancho Vignola last season, offering them Raw, Roasted, and Roasted & Salted. And we have to say, the response from all of you was pretty fantastic!

You loved the quality of these Peanuts so much that we’re excited to announce that we have added 2 Flavoured varieties this season! πŸ₯œβœ¨

Cajun & Dill Pickle Red Skin Peanuts now available in our Flavoured Nuts category.

We’re always happy to support our farmer partners, especially small operations like Kernal Peanuts that have been growing and producing right here in Canada for many years.

Here’s to Nancy, her Peanuts, and the wonderful operation she has built! πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦πŸ’š

Tiny Tales from the Fields: Walnuts 🌳

Things are looking good for this year’s Walnut harvest.
Our farmer partner reports that the 2026 crop is looking healthy. The trees recently weathered a week of intense heat, but thankfully the ripening Walnuts appear to have come through it well.

The forecast is looking good as they head toward harvest, which is even expected to arrive 7 to 10 days earlier than usual this year.

If Walnuts are on your list, keep them in mind for Wholesale Pre-ordering ending soon! September 28th

Tiny Tales from the Fields: Raisins πŸ‡

We heard it through the grapevine that things are looking good for California-grown raisins this year!

The New Crop is looking strong, with expectations for both higher quality and a larger yield compared to last year.

Freshness Matters: πŸ’š Something worth knowing when buying Dried Fruit & Nuts

Dried Fruit and Nuts can sometimes be stored and sold well beyond the season they were harvested. In fact, currently a massive surplus of Raisins from last year's harvest is sitting in storage across California. That means those old crop raisins will continue to make their way onto grocery and big-box shelves long after the new harvest has arrived.

At Rancho Vignola, we do things differently. We never warehouse our foods from year to year and start fresh with the New Crop every season.

We bring this season’s harvest from the fields to your door. 🌱
When you buy with Rancho Vignola, you know you’re getting the New Crop, Guaranteed!

Wholesale pre-ordering is ending soon! Keep California Raisins on your list!

Meet the Townsend Family 🌽

We had such a wonderful visit with the family behind this farm this summer, and we’re very excited to be bringing more of their popcorn to the Rancho Vignola Community!

A 100% Canadian-grown and 🚜 farmer-owned family business since 1985, each member of the Townsend family plays a role in everything from farming and sales to their online presence and the creation of finished products.

The family gave us such a warm welcome and took the time to show us around, walking us through the growing, processing, and testing. We learned so much about what goes into getting those kernels ready for your kitchen, and got to see more popcorn-popping machines than we have ever seen in one place! 🍿

It was clear throughout our visit just how passionate the Townsends are about what they do and the food they provide.

We’re also excited to introduce a new product:
🍿White Hull-less Popcorn is now for sale in our online shop!

These kernels are smaller than traditional popcorn, and while they aren’t completely hull-free, the hull is very minimal. Which means more of the light, tender popcorn you love, with much less in your teethπŸ˜€

And of course, also Non-GMO certified and pesticide-free.

We’re so happy to be working with the Townsends family and look forward to many more years together!
