Lampwork art beads Glass lampwork beadsare created by using a torch to melt glass onto a steel mandrel (which serves as a hole for the bead).
The designs are created by melting and layering a variety of glass colours and textures. Each dot or swirl you see on a bead has been added one at a time. Depending on the complexity of a bead, it could take anywere from 5 minutes to over an hour to create.

Just finished, should you be interested, send me a message. This necklace is 22" finished with an easy button clasp. It also works as a 3 wrap bracelet. The technique is bead crochet. The design is planned in advance, and all (over) 2000 beads are pre-strung onto a very thin, strong upholstery thread and croched in the round with a #12 crochet hook.

I find that sometimes I try to get too complicated. This time, just minimal - with the little pins (brooches) - and the necklace (bead crochet) has just 4 different shades.

This was a sort of challenge - The basic sweater is Vanilla by The Wooly Thistle, with the sleeve decoration incorporated from JuliaPiro's Mello Mood, and written in the format that Coco knits uses so that I can check off each row. The yarn is a fi*****ng weight yarn by Malabrigo.

Trying to get the background just right. Next time, there will be a more subtle color change.
