✨ Five years. ✨

Today marks 5 years since I opened the doors to Attic Treasures & Flowers. ❤️

When I started this little adventure, I really had no idea where it would take me. I bought the building with one idea in mind… and somehow ended up becoming a florist, a shopkeeper, a treasure hunter, a furniture painter, and probably a few other things along the way. 😂

Over these five years, the shop has changed and grown — and so have I.

But the very best part has always been the people who walk through my door. The familiar faces, the new ones, the conversations, the laughs, and being trusted to create flowers for some of life’s happiest and hardest moments.

To everyone who has shopped here, stopped in, shared a post, recommended me to someone, or simply cheered me on — thank you.

Five years later, I’m still here, still finding treasures, still playing with flowers… and still loving what this little shop has become. ❤️

Here’s to 5 years of Attic Treasures & Flowers — and whatever comes next. 🥂🌸

Atticus is up to something… 👀

We’re celebrating 5 years on August 13, and apparently my Chief Treasure Hunter has decided there should be a little treasure hunt of his own. 🎉

He’s hiding five $5 Attic Treasures certificates somewhere in the shop!

Plus, I’ll have a little anniversary treat and a little something green for you while quantities last. 🌿🧁

August 13 — come celebrate 5 years with me! 💚

🍫 Tuesday Treasure — Atticus’ secret is out!

If you were wondering what Atticus was guarding so carefully in his last post… it was Hummingbird Chocolate!

And with my 5th anniversary this week, this one feels especially fitting. ❤️

I had never heard of Hummingbird Chocolate until Mark introduced me to it — he used to order it from Almonte and have it mailed to me. When I opened the shop, it was one of the first products he suggested I carry… and five years later, it’s still a customer favourite.

Hummingbird makes their award-winning chocolate bean to bar, sourcing cacao beans from places like the Dominican Republic and Colombia, then roasting and crafting the chocolate right in Almonte, Ontario.

Many of you already know just how good it is — and if you don’t, Atticus thinks it’s time you found out. 😉

Perfect on its own… or as a little something extra with a bouquet. 💐🍫

👀 Atticus is on another treasure hunt…

Our Chief Treasure Hunter has hidden himself somewhere in the shop. 🪵🔎

Can you figure out where he is?

Take a good look at the photo and tell me your guess in the comments! If no one gets it right, I might just have to post a wider photo tomorrow with another clue. 😉

Happy hunting!

✨ Saturday at Home ✨

I love finding new purposes for old things. 🤎

This little antique chair sits perfectly between my bathtub and shower, and instead of being used for sitting, it’s become the perfect spot to keep everything I want close at hand — shampoo, conditioner, face cloths, soap and, of course, my Beauty From Bees products.

It’s practical, it fits the space perfectly, and I’d much rather have an old chair with a little character than a brand-new bathroom shelf!

Sometimes the best decorating ideas come from looking at something and asking, “What else could I use this for?”

Do you have something in your home that you’ve repurposed in an unexpected way?

✨ Saturday at Home

One thing you’ll notice if you ever visit my home is that I rarely use things for the purpose they were originally intended!

These thrifted cake stands have become some of the hardest-working pieces in my house.

🍳 One sits beside my stove, keeping my everyday cooking essentials—salt, pepper, olive oil, bacon fat and tallow—organized and within easy reach.

🛁 The other has found a home in my bathroom, holding cotton swabs, cotton rounds, a little night light, and my favourite Beauty from Bees products.

I love looking at a piece and imagining what else it could become. That’s one of the joys of thrifting—finding treasures that work for your home, not just the way they were originally designed.

What thrifted item in your home has found a completely different purpose? I’d love to hear your ideas!

Whether you’re looking for a cozy cup, a little self-care, or a thoughtful gift, there’s something waiting to be discovered.

Stop by and see what Atticus has been so busy uncovering… before he hides it all again! 😉

I’ve always believed that if I’m going to recommend a product, I should be using it myself first.

For the past three weeks, I’ve been using the Beauty From Bees Body Serum every day, and I honestly didn’t expect to notice such a difference.

I’ve been applying it all over my body, and the biggest change for me has been how long my skin stays hydrated. With many lotions, my skin starts to feel dry again by the next day. With this serum, my skin stays soft and moisturized for days, without ever feeling greasy.

The most noticeable improvement has been on my décolleté. The redness has faded, and my skin simply looks smoother and healthier.

Last week, I also started using the Beauty From Bees Face Serum, and I’m already hooked. It only takes four drops to cover my entire face. It absorbs beautifully, leaves my skin feeling hydrated without any oily residue, and my skin feels comfortable all day long.

I don’t bring products into the shop unless I truly believe in them. Beauty From Bees has definitely earned a place in my own daily routine, and I couldn’t wait to share my experience with you.

If you’ve been curious about these products, stop by the shop. I’d love to tell you why they’ve become one of my favourite self-care finds.
