We are both a concert & marching band, providing entertainment for community affairs in Halton Hills Our members freely volunteer their time to these events.
The band plays for community events in Acton and the surrounding area, such as parades, concerts, dinners, and some church services. Additionally, many members, both adults and children, have learned to play their instruments in classes operated by the Band. We currently practice on Wednesday evenings 7:30-9:30 pm. If you are at all interested in joining, please email us at [email protected]. We do have some instruments available to borrow if you do not have one.

Today, we wrapped up our year with our Carolling Tour around Acton, making stops all over town and playing holiday favourites. We capped it off at the most festive display we spotted along the way!

This was our final event of the year until 2026, after our Christmas Concert last Saturday. Thank you to everyone who came out to support us and donated to Acton Foodshare. Your generosity made the season even brighter.

A tradition since 1872, the Acton Citizens Band is playing today (June 7th) at 2 PM for their Spring Concert at the Acton Town Hall Centre! Donations being accepted for the Acton Food Share.

Congratulations to the Acton Citizens Band on a successful Christmas Concert held today (Sat, December 7th) to usher in the holiday season and to mark their 152nd year of providing music to Acton!

On Saturday, we were welcomed by for their 70th Anniversary Celebration. It was an incredible experience performing amidst the well maintained streetcars, surrounded by rich history. The unique setting and the warm hospitality from the volunteers and organizers made it even more special. We had a wonderful time performing in such a fun environment!
