🌍 Partnerships That Create Real Community Impact💥
At Palmento Grove Eco-Cultural & Healing Institute, we take our role as a study abroad partner seriously. We help students move beyond the classroom and gain an all-rounded experience in community development, Black and Afro-Indigenous culture, environmental science, cultural tourism, sustainability, and community empowerment.
Over the past few days, Rutgers University students partnered with the communities of Hopkins and Sittee River to conduct water quality testing. This important work can support healthier ecosystems, improved water management, and stronger community resilience.
We believe study abroad programs should not only educate students—they should also uplift the Indigenous and marginalized communities that welcome them, share their knowledge, and make these learning experiences possible.
We are grateful for another meaningful partnership that connected education, culture, science, and service.
