However, the story begins earlier during WWII when many homes on the island were opened up to accommodate soldiers. What my grandparents soon realized is that they saw an opportunity to provide a quiet respite for travelers to our lovely island. Back in those days you could stay at The Ledgelets for about $14 a night! In those days, you could travel to Bermuda without Passports and Visa...US Citizens only had to have some form of ID and proof of citizenship (to get back into the US). How times have changed!!! One thing that won't change is The Ledgelets or how special this place is. Renovations are underway! And while these renovations may take over a year to complete...it will be completely worth it. This has always been a family run business and always will be...and we want to welcome all travelers as members of our family. Our main goal is to afford you the opportunity to truly relax and enjoy Bermuda as so many did back in those early days.
