Nomado Store is a European concept store dedicated to curating the best stationery & lifestyle products for discerning "modern nomads".
Based in Belgium, in the centre of Europe, we are a small company specialising in e-commerce called Nomado Business Solutions (or Nomasol). In April 2016, after 20 years in the corporate rat-race, we decided to take the plunge and combine our passion for good design and travel into NOMADO Store a 100% on-line concept store. Travel has always played an important role in both our professional and private lives, which means that the items we carry and use when on the move also have a major impact on both our effectiveness and mindset. Product selection is of crucial importance to us. We search relentlessly for goods which are:
durable: most of the goods we sell are handmade to last from quality materials
beautiful: because form is as important as function
practical: as in well-designed
uncommon: ..vs mass-produced with low added-value
In these times of mass production of cheap goods and global consumerism, we were finding it increasingly difficult to buy items which met these criteria. We were also disappointed by brick & mortar stores that never had the products we wanted in stock and tired of poor service and communication from the on-line ones. NOMADO Store is our answer to this. Our objective is quite simply to curate the most practical and beautiful portable goods from a limited selection of suppliers in Japan and many other countries to make your life on the move a more positive experience. We also try our hardest to make shopping from our store an enjoyable and stress-free experience. Over the coming weeks, we will be setting up 2 new travel-focused blogs, one in English, the other in French, to share our favourite travel spots, experiences and insights with you. Your Hobonichi Weeks planner is precious, Ateliers Phileas craft the finest cover for it on the market. The Yokohama Weeks cover comes in either luxurious Japanese shell cordovan from the SHINKI-HIKAKU co Ltd tannery that will last for generations (the Patek Philippe of notebook covers) or silky fine grained Tochigi leather which will patina beautifully. Unlike the planner, you won’t have to replace them every year 😊

Today’s post is all about writing!
Ateliers Phileas are back in the specialist ink space with a double release of bespoke inks manufactured by Diamine:
- Akadaidai: A gorgeous red-orange fountain pen ink based on a traditional Japanese colour reference, Akadaidai (raddish orange) is a beautiful orangey red with lots of shading. The inspiration was the colour used in Shinto shrines in Japan.
- Kokeiro: A gorgeous light green fountain pen ink based on a traditional Japanese colour reference, Kokeiro (green moss) is a beautiful lighter green inspired by moss in Kyoto temple gardens and the green of freshly prepared matcha tea.
Ateliers Phileas Ai-Iro ink is our best selling ink, we hope that you will love these ones too!
EBOYA Japanese ebonite fountain pens:
We met Eboya at the 2025 Tokyo Pen Show (we’ll be visiting the 2026 one next month, drop us a line if you’d like to meet up). We were stunned by the exquisite finish and colours of their marbled ebonite fountain pens.
Eboya are the fountain pen division of Nikko Ebonite, a Tokyo-based company that manufactures the world’s best ebonite, as used by prestigious manufacturers such as Sailor, Nakaya, etc. Their Eboya range of ebonite fountain pens is made in Tokyo by a team of dedicated craftsmen. Every pen is machined from solid ebonite using special lathes and then carefully polished to produce a perfect finish. The pens are fitted with 14k gold European nibs from Bock. Charles has been using one on a daily basis since last year and loves it.
We stock two types of Eboya fountain pens, a larger cigar-shaped one called Houga (5 colours) and a smaller, more classic type called Houju (3 colours).
Platinum: we’ve restocked the beautiful Nice Rosé fountain pen and added the gorgeous #3776 Century Kaga Hira Maki-e Fountain Pen (Sakura pattern).
Kaweco: Sport fountain pen and ballpoint restocks.
