Risicomanagement in de zorg: van bewustzijn naar systematische beheersing

Dit is het tweede keer dat de Inspectie een terugkoppeling publiceert op basis van de kwaliteitsjaarverslagen. De Inspectie kiest jaarlijks een specifiek thema uit het kwaliteitsjaarverslag voor nadere analyse gebaseerd op door zorgaanbieders zelf aangeleverde informatie. Deze informatie ondersteunt de Inspectie bij het vormgeven van risicogestuurd toezicht en biedt inzicht in de belangrijkste risico’s, zowel zorgveldbreed als per sector.

In het verslagjaar 2024 staat het thema risicomanagement centraal. Veilige, kwalitatief goede zorg vraagt om meer dan professioneel handelen alleen. Het vereist een structurele en continue benadering van risicomanagement binnen alle lagen van de zorgorganisatie.

Uit de analyse van 172 kwaliteitsjaarverslagen van zorgaanbieders op Aruba komt een helder beeld naar voren:
- Risicobewustzijn is breed aanwezig binnen het zorgveld
- Risico’s worden herkend in klinische én organisatorische context
- Maar de systematische borging van risicomanagement blijft in ontwikkeling
