Meet the very loved family behind CIDER & BASIL 🤍

Henrietta is one of the most devoted dog mums you’ll ever meet, so photographing her at home with her whole furry family was so so special.

There’s Cider, her beautiful senior maremma, Basil and Quincy the berners, Winter the cat, plus one other feline family member Hershey, who politely declined to participate... except for one photo 🤭

Her love for them is also what inspired Cider & Basil, the beautiful cafe she created for dogs and their humans.

And this weekend, Cider & Basil is celebrating one year at their Hawthorn home 🎉

Come along and celebrate with us - we’ll be there on Saturday photographing the Cider & Basil ‘Treat Challenge’ where your dog gets to show us exactly what they'll do for a treat!

(they can catch it, balance it, beg for it or perform their best trick...or fail spectacularly 😂)

Either way it's sure to be a fun way to pawty!

More event details to come in our Stories and over at Cider & Basil - we'd love to see you there! 🧡

180+ corgis later…WHAT.A.DAY. 😍

A huge thank you to Rach and the team at Augie’s Place for having us at the 2nd Annual Corgi Meetup on Sunday!

Thank you so much to all the corgis and pawrents who patiently waited for your family portraits on the day. We're busy editing away and your galleries will be ready tomorrow, we're excited!! Stay tuned 👀

PS. Swipe to the last photo...poor Augie definitely didn't appreciate Shell rejecting his goodbye kiss... 💔

Lucky in love 🤍

At the ripe old age of 13, Lucky was rescued by two loving mums who were determined to give him the retirement he deserved.

At 18 years and 10 months old, Lucky put on matching denim with his mums and welcomed us into his home to capture these memories together (although we're pretty sure he had no idea what all the fuss was about!)

He was the most senior pup we've ever had the joy of photographing.

Just a few weeks later, at almost 19 years old, Lucky peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge with his two favourite people in the whole world by his side.

We cried when we heard the news because we knew just how much he was loved. It takes a special kind of person to open your heart to a senior dog, knowing your time together will be all too short.

But looking at these photos, we're pretty sure Lucky’s mums would tell you it was worth every single second.

What an honour it was to meet him and capture part of Lucky's beautiful final chapter. Thank you Lucinda and Joanna for trusting us with your sweet boy 🌈

Life can surprise you in the sweetest ways.

Matt originally bought Cynthia this photo session as a Christmas gift, with gorgeous groodle Arthur (who also goes by his Spanish name, Arturo) set to be the star of the show.

But by the time they booked in a few months later, there was some unexpected news... Arthur was going to be a big brother!

And now looking at these photos, it feels like a love letter to their beautiful first chapter as a family - right before the big adventure to come.

Whatever season of life you’re in with your best friend, we’d love to help you capture it 🧡

Esther 🤍

Just a few months ago we spent an afternoon at home with Esther and her devoted mum and dad.

Esther was mostly blind by then, and it was so lovely to see their gentle way with her, always encouraging her and making sure she felt safe and confident.

Her sweet and cheeky little personality still shone through though, especially when she was snuggled up with her two favourite people in the whole world, or enjoying her sniffs outside.

Sadly Esther crossed the rainbow bridge last week and our hearts go out to her mum and dad. It means a lot knowing they’ll always have these memories of their special girl 🧡

Everyone has their own love language, even the boys.

When Avi’s partner gifted him a session with his best friend Bucky, she said one thing: she really wanted some affectionate photos of them together.

The funny thing was, it became clear pretty quickly that their love language wasn’t super cuddly. Instead, it was playtime, zoomies, and just doing life side by side.

Bucky also does this very cute thing where he looks up at his dad to lift him onto the bed each night 🥹

We always say it’s the little everyday moments like these that mean everything.

And when it came time to choose his photos, Avi filled our largest Storyteller frame with nothing but Bucky being the character he is.

Which really says it all don’t you think? 🧡
