📚✨ Book Week 2026! ✨📚

What a fantastic day celebrating all things books! Our students had a wonderful time bringing their favourite stories and characters to life during our Book Week Parade, proudly showcasing their amazing and creative costumes. 🎭📖

Throughout the day, students also took part in fun and engaging activities based on two wonderful children's books, The Frog’s First Song and Colours of Home 🐸🎶🌈🏡 It was fantastic to see our students exploring the stories through creativity, discussion and hands-on learning.

A huge thank you to our wonderful families for helping make today's celebrations so special with some fantastic costumes. We loved seeing the excitement, creativity and joy that our students brought to our Book Week celebration 💛💚

Maths & STEM Night 🎲🔬➗

What a fantastic night we had at our Maths & STEM Night last Wednesday! 🎉

A huge thank you to all of our wonderful teachers and families who came along and joined in the fun. It was fantastic to see so many students (and adults!) getting involved, exploring, creating, problem-solving and, of course, having lots of fun with maths and STEM! 🧪🧮✨

And we didn’t stop there! The following day, our students were lucky enough to enjoy the Felstead Maths Show. They absolutely loved it and were excited to get involved in all the fun and mathematical thinking. 🔢🎭

🌙💤 PYJAMA DAY AT WATTLE GLEN PRIMARY SCHOOL! 💤🌙

What a wonderful day at Wattle Glen Primary School! Our students and staff came to school in their favourite pyjamas and slippers today to support The Pyjama Foundation. 💙

The Pyjama Foundation supports children in foster care by providing resources, reading support and positive mentoring relationships to help them reach their potential. 📚

A huge thank you to everyone who got involved and donated our gold coin donation. We are so proud to share that Wattle Glen Primary School raised an amazing $212! 🎉👏

Last Thursday was a very exciting one for our Grade 1 and Grade 2 students! 🎉

Our Grade 1 students enjoyed a special late stay, complete with pizza and ice cream for dinner 🍕🍦, a movie and, of course, getting changed into their cosy pyjamas! 🥰📽️

Meanwhile, our Grade 2 students took things one step further with their very first sleepover at school! They also enjoyed pizza and ice cream, danced the night away at a disco, watched a movie and… managed to get just a little bit of sleep! 💤🪩

There were plenty of smiles, laughter, dancing, excited chatter and memories made along the way. What a wonderful night for our Grade 1 and 2 students! 💚💛

Lots of smiles from today as our students participated in our in-house athletics activities 💛💚💙❤️

Our students used their muscles to have a go at throwing the shot put and discus, showed their speed during the relay races and sprints, and leapt through the air for some great long jumps! We have lots of impressive little athletes at WGPS!

Well done to all for having a go, we can’t wait to see what our seniors can achieve at district athletics later on in the year.

On Thursday we celebrated our Preps first 100 days of school! They celebrated with their special people, buddies and peers through a variety of activities. At lunch, they loved chatting and giggling while having their lunch party.
Over the past 100 days, they have learned so much and we are excited to see their progress over the rest of the year!

Another great day at the annual Hooptime Tournament 🏀

Today, our grade 5 and 6 students showed another amazing display of putting in your best effort, showing great sportsmanship and giving new things a go, even if they seem like a challenge.

Our students had a great time and again, we couldn’t be prouder of the way you represent WGPS at events like this! Well done all 💛💚

What a fantastic day at the Grade 3/4 Hooptime Tournament! 🏀

We are so proud of our students for the incredible sportsmanship, determination, and teamwork they showed throughout the day. Their effort on and off the court was outstanding, and we were thrilled to celebrate some well-earned wins along the way!

What a wonderful way to start the day!

Our Prep students arrived at school in their cosy pyjamas for Prep Breakfast this morning. They enjoyed a delicious breakfast with their classmates, shared lots of smiles and conversations, and then got ready for a fantastic day of learning.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this special morning such a fun and memorable experience for our newest learners!

🌱 This term at WGPS, our students have been exploring Sustainability through their Integrated Studies unit. 🌏

On Friday, our school proudly hosted a Sustainability Expo, showcasing the incredible learning, creativity and hard work of our students throughout the term.

Drawing on their knowledge of reusing, recycling and upcycling, students demonstrated how simple, thoughtful actions can help protect and care for our planet.

Our senior students brought in pre-loved books, clothes and toys to resell to their peers, giving these items a second life while bringing plenty of smiles to happy new owners. The middle school students also hosted a range of sustainability-themed games and quizzes, encouraging visitors to think about environmentally friendly choices. Meanwhile, our junior students got creative by making and selling upcycled seedling pots, complete with seedlings ready to grow.

We are incredibly proud of all of our students for their enthusiasm, teamwork and commitment to sustainability. Through their efforts, they not only raised funds but also demonstrated that even small actions can make a meaningful difference in creating a cleaner, more thoughtful and sustainable future.
