At The Hungry Workshop, we use a Heidelberg ‘Windmill’ platen to deliver our work to the highest quality. And although we don’t ink the plates manually or feed each sheet by hand, every print run requires constant attention. Each sheet is inspected, with ink and impression adjustment to produce the unique tactile finish of letterpress. We print both our own projects, designed in house, and project
There aren't many presses nowadays that if the electricity is shut off for the entire day, you can still continue to print. This beautiful press is over 120 years old, foot treadled and hand fed, no electricity required. You do have to be extra careful of your fingers though!
Letterpress printing is never just pressing print and walking away. It's a dance with the press. We love that it's more of an art than a science 🫶

Lots of moving pieces come together to print a set of tags for 🤩 We've been working together to print tags for Emily's pieces for over 10 years! Brown ink on pink paper is the latest combination but our presses have seen greens, blues, yellows and pinks; cheerful colours to match her cheerful work!

Presses clean, tools down, power off! Here’s cheers to another year of getting our hands dirty. To everyone who trusted us with projects near and dear to them in 2025, we thank you. It means the world that you help us keep our presses running and print alive.
We’ll be taking a break until Monday 19 January, coming back refreshed and ready to tackle new challenges. Looking forward to seeing what our community creates in 2026!

Just in time for Christmas, we worked with .parent and to create this Santa Set. A collection of keepsakes intended to help parents create meaningful moments over the holidays.

Fifteen years ago we founded Hungry Workshop. What started as ‘let’s try something different’ has become this beautiful, chaotic thing that’s given us the chance to collaborate with so many brilliant, talented and generous humans; colleagues, clients, collaborators, friends and the creative community at large.
To everyone who’s been part of this, thank you. Whether you’ve been here since the beginning, through the ups and downs and twists and turns, or just met us last week, thank you for being here. You’ve made this whole thing infinitely better.
Here’s to fifteen years of rolling up our sleeves. And here’s to whatever comes next.
