We are proud to introduce Yani Ngarrgu, Journey of Knowledge, a striking new artwork in the Ngangga Centre by acclaimed Naarm-based multidisciplinary Aboriginal artist Simone Thomson.
Through a series of interconnected gathering places and pathways, the painting celebrates community, connection, and the sharing of knowledge. Each gathering circle represents the meeting places of the Thomas Carr College community, reflecting our commitment to learning together, listening deeply, and building meaningful relationships.
Watch the video to learn more about the significance of Yani Ngarrgu and its place within the Ngangga Centre. Hear from Mr Bernardo and Ms Mondares as they reflect on the inspiration behind the artwork and its powerful connection to culture, community, and learning.

Want to try something new at recess or lunch?
Every Tuesday at recess, chapel prayer group is run. Students and staff can drop in for a short time of prayer together - a gentle way to pause and connect with a few minutes of calm and connection.
Every Thursday at lunchtime, Bible study group is run in the chapel by one of our Liturgy Captains, Celine B (Year 12). It is a great way to meet new people and delve deeper into what the Bible is truly saying.
Check out SIMON messages for more information on all recess and lunchtime activities!

Yesterday we gathered as a College, along with St Francis of Assisi PS Tarneit, to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption, a Holy Day of Obligation in the Catholic Church.
Coming together as a community allowed students and staff to reflect on the belief that God has great plans for each of us, as he did for Mary.

Our VCE offshore mentors spent the Term 2 break in Guiyang, China, delivering professional learning workshops at the annual VCE Transnational Conference.
The conference brings together educators from our partner schools to share best practice, strengthen international partnerships and enhance VCE teaching and learning. It also provides a valuable opportunity for our mentors to reflect on their own practice and bring fresh ideas back to Thomas Carr College.

"Do not let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers..." (1 Timothy 4:12)
Last week it was our Year 10 students' turn to participate in their Reflection Day.
Year 10 is a pivotal time when students are becoming increasingly aware of their influence on others. This Reflection Day invited them to consider how every choice, word, action and attitude creates a ripple effect that extends beyond themselves.
Drawing on scripture, students reflected on the impact they have now and the legacy they wish to leave as they journey toward their Year 12 Retreat.

Recently we welcomed students from Wenzhou no 21 Middle School in China. Several of our students acted as buddies to our visitors, further enhancing the partnership and experiences of students.
Each year, students from Thomas Carr College’s VCE partner schools in China graduate and go on to further study in universities in Australia.
