When many people seek care in our Forestville practice they have one goal: relief. So that’s where we start! During this initial stage of intensive care, we have several obligations:
•Uncover the underlying cause of the health problem
•Suggest a care plan to produce the fastest resu

Health begins with healthy inputs.
Good health isn't simply the absence of disease—it's the result of giving your body and brain what they need to function at their best.
One of those essential inputs is motion.
Every movement provides your brain with valuable sensory information. That information helps coordinate posture, balance, movement and many of the everyday functions we often take for granted.
Modern life encourages us to sit more and move less, but our brains haven't changed. They are still designed for motion.
Small amounts of movement, repeated throughout the day, can make a meaningful difference.
Move often.
Rethink normal.

Community. Service. Connection.
Last Friday, I had the privilege of attending a special blessing and networking evening at the Armenian Apostolic Church alongside fellow Armenian health professionals.
It was wonderful to reconnect with colleagues, meet practitioners from a range of healthcare professions, and celebrate our shared commitment to serving our communities with compassion and excellence.
A heartfelt thank you to the Armenian Church and everyone who helped organise such a welcoming and meaningful evening. Events like these remind us that healthcare is strongest when we support one another and work together for the wellbeing of those we serve.
I’m grateful to have been part of this special gathering.

Some little known facts about my heritage🇲🇹

Headaches aren't always just about your head.
Stress.
Poor sleep.
Hours at a computer.
Reduced movement.
These everyday habits can all influence how your body functions and may contribute to headaches in some people.
Pain is often your body's way of asking you to pay attention.
Instead of simply asking,
"How do I get rid of this headache?"
Try asking,
"Why is my body producing it?"
That's where lasting change often begins.
Just because headaches are common doesn't mean they're normal.
Rethink normal.
If headaches are becoming your normal, don't ignore them.
📞 Call Forest Chiropractic Wellness Centre on 9453 3233 to arrange an assessment and find out what's contributing to your headaches.

Thank you to everyone who attended our S.O.S. – Stress Overload Syndrome presentation at Alexander Aged Care in Brookvale.
Many people asked about the free apps I recommended to help manage stress, relax the nervous system and improve sleep, so here they are.
📱 Breathe – Guided breathing exercises that can help calm your nervous system in just a few minutes.
🧘 Calm – Meditation, breathing exercises, sleep stories and relaxing soundscapes.
🌿 Medito – A completely free meditation app with guided sessions for stress, sleep and mindfulness.
Managing stress isn't about eliminating every challenge from life.
It's about helping your brain and nervous system become better at adapting to those challenges.
Small daily habits can create meaningful long-term change.
Just because stress feels normal doesn't mean it's optimal.
Rethink normal.
If you're looking for practical strategies to improve sleep, manage stress and support your nervous system, we'd love to help.

Who looks after the people who spend their lives looking after everyone else?
Last week I had the privilege of presenting S.O.S. – Stress Overload Syndrome to the incredible team at Alexander Aged Care in Brookvale.
Working in aged care is physically demanding, emotionally challenging and deeply rewarding. It takes resilience, compassion and energy every single day.
During the presentation we explored:
• how chronic stress changes the brain and nervous system
• why quality sleep is essential for recovery
• the relationship between posture, movement and stress
• practical strategies to build resilience and improve wellbeing
One of my favourite moments was seeing so many people engaged in the discussion, asking questions and sharing their own experiences. That's where real learning begins.
Thank you to everyone who attended and to Alexander Aged Care for the opportunity.
Because healthier carers create healthier communities.
Rethink normal.

😴 A big thank you to everyone who joined us for our recent Sleep Workshop!
One of the key messages from the evening was that better sleep isn't just about spending more time in bed—it's about creating the right habits and environment to support healthy sleep.
We discussed:
✅ Why sleep is essential for brain and body health
✅ How stress, caffeine, alcohol, and screens affect sleep quality
✅ Practical strategies to improve sleep naturally
✅ Useful apps that can help support better sleep habits
Some of the apps we shared included:
📱 Medito
📱 Sleep Cycle
📱 Calm
📱 SnoreLab
Which of these sleep apps have you tried? 📱😴
Sleep is one of the most powerful health interventions available to us, yet many people struggle with poor sleep, fatigue, brain fog, and low energy.
If you missed the workshop and would like a copy of the handout, send us a message and we'll be happy to help.
Health isn't just about feeling better—it's about having the energy to do more of what you love.

Your brain adapts too.
Stress.
Poor sleep.
Long workdays.
Constant demands.
Most people don't wake up one day feeling exhausted, overwhelmed or burnt out.
Often it happens gradually.
We adapt.
We compensate.
We push through.
Until what once felt unusual begins to feel normal.
But just because something feels normal doesn't mean it's optimal.
Your nervous system adapts to what you do most often.
That's why healthy habits matter.
Sleep matters.
Movement matters.
Recovery matters.
One of the most important questions we can ask ourselves is:
"What has become normal?"
Rethink normal.

What has become normal?
Poor sleep.
Fatigue.
Stress.
Stiffness.
Reduced movement.
Many people gradually adapt to these changes and begin to accept them as a normal part of life.
But acceptance and normal aren't always the same thing.
At our practice, we often encourage people to ask a simple question:
"What has become normal?"
Because just because something is common doesn't mean it's normal.
Health is about more than symptoms🤧
It's about maintaining the ability to move well, sleep well, adapt well and continue doing the things that matter most.
Rethink normal.
