What a wonderful evening of celebration, pride and reflection as our Killester College community came together to honour the graduating Class of 2026! 🎓🌸

Surrounded by their families, teachers and friends, our Year 12 students celebrated the culmination of their Killester journey - years filled with learning, friendship, personal growth and unforgettable memories.

As we reflected on their achievements and the remarkable young women they have become, we were reminded that graduation is not simply an ending, but the beginning of an exciting new chapter. ✨

To our Class of 2026, we are incredibly proud of you! As you step beyond the gates of Killester, may you carry with you the friendships, experiences and values that have shaped your journey.

💜 Small Acts of Kindness, Making a Meaningful Difference 🧵✨

Last term, our Year 11 VM students put compassion into action, creating almost 80 beautiful handmade Dignity Bags for The Alfred Hospital’s ICU and End of Life Care team.

Inspired by an idea from Ms Langford and her sister Wendy, who works at The Alfred, the project aimed to provide families with a more thoughtful and dignified way to receive their loved ones’ belongings following their passing. 💜

Working together at Brigid’s Blessing, students sewed, assembled, ironed and decorated each bag with care and creativity. 🪡🎨

When Wendy visited to see the finished bags, she was moved to tears. After delivering them to The Alfred, she shared:

“We really believe that these special bags will help families on their grief journey.”

A heartfelt thank you to Mrs Reynders, Ms Langford, Marine, Julie Jewell and everyone who contributed materials, time and support to this beautiful initiative.

🏆🥇 Victorian Champion! 💜

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of one of our talented Killester athletes, Caris P, who competed at the Victorian All Schools Track and Field Championships! 🌟

Competing in the Under 14 Girls Discus, she claimed 1st place with an impressive personal best throw of 35.13 metres! 🥇👏

This fantastic result has also secured her qualification for the National Championships, where she will proudly represent Killester College! 🇦🇺

Congratulations on this wonderful achievement Caris! We wish you every success at Nationals! 💜✨

🌿💜 Year 7 Students Making a Difference at Saltbush Balnarring!

Nineteen enthusiastic Year 7 students rolled up their sleeves this week for a day of community service at Saltbush Balnarring, one of the charities supported by Killester College. 🤝

Saltbush provides a peaceful place of respite for families and carers experiencing hardship, and our students were eager to contribute to this important work.

🪴 Warmly welcomed by Keeley and Amy, students tackled the physically demanding task of removing old tanbark and sand from the playground. Armed with shovels and wheelbarrows, they demonstrated fantastic teamwork, determination and enthusiasm! 💪

A special thank you to Ms Reynders, who led the team, impressed everyone with her digging skills and even spotted an echidna wandering through the property! 🌿

🌳 After lunch, students explored the restored bushland and learned about the Presentation Sisters’ commitment to environmental restoration and their belief that caring for the land means caring for people and the future. A peaceful walk through the labyrinth offered an opportunity for mindfulness and reflection.

🍦 Some well-earned icy poles provided a refreshing break before one final session of digging!

Although the playground project remains a work in progress, our students made a significant contribution and returned to Killester with a wonderful sense of achievement.
