Can we just take a moment and appreciate the natural beauty of this Blue Patagonia Quartzite? Literally took my breath away. This heritage home in St. Kilda is so very close to the finish line - all the beautiful materials, finishes and details finally coming together. Peter Brown Surface Spectrum

Brunswick House renovation and extension carefully restored the home’s heritage charm (that is…what was left of it) while replacing years of DIY alterations with a thoughtful family focused design. A light filled extension, flexible spaces for three generations and a new seamless connection to the outdoors have completely transformed this home.

Blower Door Test Day!

A great milestone for our Passive House project in Box Hill yesterday, with the blower door test completed before plastering.

This test measures the airtightness of the home and helps identify any air leaks while they’re still easy to address. We’re pleased to report a result of 0.58 ACH (air changes per hour), exceeding the Passive House certification Standard of 0.6 ACH!

What does that mean in practice? A more airtight home is more energy efficient, reducing the need for heating and cooling. Combined with a Heat Recovery Ventilation (HRV) system, it also provides a continuous supply of fresh, filtered air, helping to reduce dust, pollen and other allergens while maintaining a comfortable indoor environment.

A fantastic result and a credit to the attention to detail from the team at Coy’s Constructions

We had the privilege of attending the official opening of two brand new Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) homes this morning.

We’re incredibly proud to have been part of the team that brought these homes to life alongside Harnest, BlueCHP and Bayley House.

Located in Mentone, these homes have been thoughtfully designed and tailored to meet the unique needs of five individuals, creating forever homes that will support them for years to come.

Seeing the smiles on the faces of the new residents and their families made every challenge along the way worthwhile.

A heartfelt congratulations to everyone involved in making this project a reality.

The City of Port Phillip has been home to many of our projects over the years.

From heritage cottages and Victorian terraces to mid century apartments and family homes, we’ve had the opportunity to work throughout St Kilda, Albert Park, Middle Park, Elwood, South Melbourne and Port Melbourne. We also have a number of projects currently under construction across the area.

Working in Port Phillip is about more than good design. It requires an understanding of heritage homes, compact sites, neighbourhood character and the local planning process.

Every project is different, but they all begin with respecting what already exists and finding thoughtful ways to adapt homes for modern living.

One of our recent projects - a fully accessible apartment in St Kilda West was recognised with the Small Scale Award at the City of Port Phillip Design and Development Awards! It was an especially rewarding project for our team and reflects the kind of considered, people-focused design we strive to achieve.

If you’re planning to renovate or extend a home in Port Phillip, we’d be happy to talk about how we can help bring your project to life.

Huge progress at our St. Kilda East Terrace Reno over the past month. Take a quick look inside as this gorgeous family home is transformed!

Our St Kilda East renovation project is a great example of the benefits of bringing the builder into the process early.

We engaged during the concept design stage, creating a true collaboration between client, architect and builder from the start.

Having everyone aligned from the outset has meant clear communication, informed decision making, fewer surprises and a shared understanding of the vision and budget throughout the journey.

Swipe to compare the original concept images with the project as it stands today to see how closely the built outcome is reflecting the original design intent.

If you are looking to kick off your Reno journey this year, send us a DM and we’ll forward you our ‘kick start your project’ guide.
