Ladies and gentlemen, the surgery was a success without any major complications. What was an unplayable tape is now buttery smooth! (For the most part).
The tape was deeply covered in mould, enough to clog up the cleaning pads a quarter of the way through. After a few passes, the tape began to show it's blackish grey glory, free from fungi and dust.
While it is not 100%, it is a great step in the right direction towards a mould free tape future!
The fog has called to me... Nick's Midnight Movies!

This is what we love to see. Doing it for the love of the game and keeping it going with Gen Z!
Gen Z is bringing Physical Media back in a big way. DVD and Blu-ray rentals are hitting record highs, and local shops are seeing membership numbers they haven’t touched in years. Young collectors are proving that owning movies still matters, and it’s honestly amazing to watch.
