Puberty can bring a LOT of change and sometimes it can be hard to know what’s simply part if growing up and what might need a little more attention 💙
Mood changes, wanting more independence, sleeping later and irregular periods can all be part of this stage.
But if something feels persistent, significant or just doesn’t feel right, it’s okay to ask questions and seek support.
We’ve explored what’s happening during puberty, what’s common and when it may be worth checking in, in one of our latest blogs. Read via the link in our bio. 😊

A little update from Dr Georgia 💙
If you’ve been wondering what Dr Georgia has been up to, she’s currently recovering from a broken foot! And while she’s taking the time to heal, she is definitely missing being at the practice. ✨
She’s doing her best to rest, recover and let her body heal… with a little help from chiropractic care! 😉
She’s very keen to be back doing what she loves and seeing all your beautiful faces again as soon as she can!
For now, it’s plenty of rest, getting adjusted and patiently waiting to get back on her feet!! 🦶
We want to thank you all for your patience and understanding during this time 🧡

Perimenopause and menopause. You’ve probably heard both terms, but do you know the difference? 🤔
They’re often used interchangeably, but they actually describe two different points in the same natural transition.
Understanding what’s happening in your body can make it easier to recognise changes, ask the right questions and know when it’s time to seek support.
Swipe through for a simple breakdown of perimenopause vs menopause and save this post for later. 🤍
We’ve also explored the transition in more detail, including symptoms and ways to support your body, in our blog.

Why does your teenager suddenly come alive at bedtime? 🌙
If bedtime has become a nightly battle, you’re definitely not alone. Puberty brings a lot of changes, and sleep is one of them.
Rather than seeing it as simply “teenage laziness”, understanding what’s happening in their developing body can make navigating this stage a little easier.
We have explored puberty, sleep, hormones, brain development and more in our new blog.

The Menstrual Cycle 🔄
The menstrual cycle isn’t just about your period. It’s a monthly rhythm involving your brain, hormones and nervous system all working together.
Throughout the month, your hormones naturally rise and fall, influencing everything from your energy, mood, sleep, appetite, exercise performance and recovery.
Understanding hormonal shifts can help you work with your body rather than against it. Whether it’s adjusting your exercise, nutrition or simply giving yourself permission to slow down when needed, learning your cycle is a powerful step towards better health.
Every cycle is unique. If your periods are painful, irregular, very heavy or your symptoms are affecting your quality of life, it’s worth seeking support. 💛
Do you know what good posture actually looks like — and how to spot the early signs it’s changing? 👀
In this short video, Dr Troy walks through how to do a simple posture check at home — the same two-view approach we use here at MMFC. It takes less than a minute and can tell you a lot about how your family’s spines are tracking.
What to look for:
From the back (or front)
✔Does the head sit over the centre of the body without a tilt?
✔ Are the shoulders level?
✔ Are the hips level?
From the side:
✔is the ear over the shoulder?
✔Is there a gentle curve in the lower back?
Postural changes develop gradually — and they’re often well established before any discomfort appears. The earlier you notice them, the easier they are to address.
If you notice something while watching, or you’d like us to do a proper assessment for you or your family — we’re currently offering first visits for new clients or restart visits (if you haven’t been in for a while) at the price of a regular visit.

Posture is more than how you sit or stand. It reflects the habits and movements you repeat everyday.
Small changes can make a big difference to how you move, feel and function day to day. Your body is always adapting!
If these signs sound familiar, it might be time to give your posture some love. 🧡
