It’s Erin here — I just wanted to share a little update with you all following my hip replacement 💗

My surgery on the 19th of March went really well, and my post-op X-ray showed a beautiful result by the surgeon. Unfortunately, my recovery has taken a bit of an unexpected turn…

Around day 7, I was still experiencing excruciating pain (similar to days 2–3), unable to progress much though trying to get through rehab 3x a day, I was sent for a CT scan. This revealed a decent fracture on the corner of my hip. Apparently this is is quite rare but can happen, and as a result, my recovery plan has changed significantly, as has my plans to return to work 😞

I now need to remain completely off the leg for an additional 4–5 weeks from the time of discovery no weight bearing at all, then will need to strengthen.

This means I won’t be returning to the salon next week as initially planned, & will be unable to do more that sit around resting for the next 4–6 weeks on top of the time I’ve already had to take.

I’ll keep you all updated as I learn more 🤍 In the meantime, I’ll share Kim’s contact details for anyone who would like to reach out regarding any cancellations — they do pop up from time to time 🙏

We had the privilege of being part of a very special day for some very special people at Captain Jacks Last weekend.

Couldn’t have been a more perfect celebration 🙌

Blonde freshen-up with 20” tape extensions 🙌

It was such a pleasure welcoming this gorgeous first-time EKO client into the salon last week for a very exciting makeover!

To achieve this look, Erin used 4 packets (40 pieces) of 20” tape-in hair extensions, creating added length, fullness, and a seamless finish.

The blonde was refreshed with a combination of foils and tip-outs to brighten and rebalance the colour throughout.

The end result? A beautiful blend and one very happy client — which makes it all worth it 😊

When better a time to rock this look than on Halloween too 👻 He went as the real Slim Shady 😉

Erin gave Jude a mini education session on how to get the most out of her curls, including which products to use and the correct order to apply them.

This technique significantly reduced frizz and dramatically improved curl definition 🙌
