This makes me SO angry!!!!
The use of floral foam around food!!!
Fruit and vegetables are being used everywhere in design right now, which is fantastic! However placing it in or near toxic floral foam is outrageous!!!
Floral foam is a single use plastic. It breaks down into microplastics. It isn’t compostable AND it is NOT food safe. If your event florist is using floral foam around food - make sure your guests don’t snack on anything.

So excited to have found and the incredible world of native Australian food ingredients.
These plants have sustained Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples for tens of thousands of years- deeply connected to Country, culture and knowledge.
By incorporating native ingredients into our edible bouquets, we’re not just exploring flavour and texture - we’re celebrating Indigenous heritage and supporting the preservation of biodiversity.
Locally grown, environmentally resilient.
Rich in story.
This is food as culture.
This is floristry with meaning.
