Dinosaur Taxidermy is a small business created to supply you with high quality ethically sourced tax I do sometimes also have other animal specimens available.

People often ask me why I am a taxidermist and I am glad to tell you all it is because I love animals. To me there is nothing more amazing than the sheer diversity of life on earth and the many forms and functions it takes. I have created this company not as a macabre reminder of death but as a celebration of life and a way to enrich the lives and homes of anyone who is interested. I have a bachel

or of applied science and I have also studied entomology at Purdue University in America for a short time. I believe all life is precious and that is why I always put in the extra effort to find the most ethical specimens possible. All entomology specimens are sourced from labs and museums that do not allow for illegal poaching and where ever possible I participate in the funding of captive breed and release programs which are occurring all around the world. If it is not possible to get the specimens from captive breeding than I work in conjunction with labs and museums funding their field research in return for examined specimens. There are also instances where I may use some of the insects from my own collection as I do often breed different species for my personal studies. I don't typically kill these specimens I just let them live a natural life span. If I am for some reason forced to kill an entomology specimen this will typically be done via freezing as I believe this is the most humane way as they simply fall into a hibernation sleep and then pass away. These animals have not been killed for taxidermy but instead have been collected as road kill or received from various friends of mine who have for what ever reason found them dead. I love creating unique pieces for any style so if you have something in mind or even just a color palette to work to I would be glad to help. I can also do repairs so if you have an old specimen in need of some TLC please feel free to contact me for a quote. We all know that life happens, maybe your moving house and you hear that crunch... Don't stress. Should anything happen to one of my creations even if it is 100% your fault, just bring it to me and I will charge only for the materials that need replacing. I didn't get a chance to eat any as it's not the season for them, but they are particularly large out here.

Well, yesterday, I couldn't upload a bug of the day because of a huge data outage up here in Ularu. No one could take eftpos either, which made the mostly cashless society here pretty crippled.

Here he is now, though, screaming up a storm. My best bug of the trip, and one of my wish-list finds ❤️

Beetle of the day!!!

Found this little weirdo in the sand late at night and then touched it a bunch. 10/10 would recommend.

I watched lightning on the rock tonight and it was amazing.

Bug of the day!

Just listen to this little guy, I have never handled a beetle so loud before. Not even the Madagascan hissing roaches got to this volume. I had a wonderful night thanks to my beautiful birthday girl sister.

We are up in Ularu visiting my sister, and I have met some magnificent bugs. Today's favourite was this guy who lived in a little sand cave and ferociously protected it. It's so amazing how much life there is in the desert if you just take your time.
