We are pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Young Mentonian of the Year Award 2026.

This prestigious award honours exceptional Mentonians aged 35 and under who are making a meaningful impact in our communities – both in Australia and abroad. Whether through their profession or personal passions, if they’re making a positive difference, we want to hear about them!

What we’re looking for:

✅ Outstanding contributions made in the past year
✅ A proven track record and ongoing commitment to their profession and community
✅ Recognition of any other awards or accolades
✅ Attended Mentone Grammar for at least 4 years of schooling, including the completion of Year 12

The award recipient will be honoured with an Award Certificate and a monetary prize of $2,500 from The Mentonians Association.

Applications are currently open and will close on Sunday 29 November 2026.

20 YEARS OF COEDUCATION | COMMUNITY & SERVICE

As Mentone Grammar celebrates 20 years of coeducation, we’re reflecting on how the values of collaboration, empathy and respect continue to shape our Mentonians beyond the School gates.

For Daniel Maitland (Class of 2010), Founder of Training with Mates and TWM Stride for Stroke, his passion for community began at Mentone Grammar, where he ran a gym program for staff and students. Today, TWM Stride for Stroke has raised nearly $300,000 to support stroke survivors, research and vital resources.

For Amelia Gardner (Class of 2016), Mentone Grammar fostered a strong sense of compassion and service, values she now brings to her career in child protection services, supporting vulnerable children and families.

While their paths are different, Daniel and Amelia share a common foundation: using empathy, connection and service to make a meaningful difference in their communities.

24 July 1944 – 22 August 2026

Mentone Grammar and The Mentonians Association are deeply saddened by the recent passing of Judy Beazley, a beloved former staff member and valued member of our School community.

Judy’s friendship, kindness and dedication will be remembered with deep gratitude by generations of Mentonians and staff. Her contribution helped shape the strong community that remains one of Mentone Grammar’s defining strengths today. We extend our deepest sympathies to her partner Robert, daughter Katie, son Philip and grandchildren.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU – we are profoundly grateful for your support. With your generosity and the extraordinary support of The Mentonians Association, $268,658 has been raised as at 8.00pm on 18 August to support the redevelopment of Keysie!
