🥃 MYSTERY MALTS : UNMASKED 🎭
Six pours. No labels. No clues. Until the reveal.
This isn’t your usual whisky tasting.
On Thursday 27 August, George Leung in partnership with Casa De Vinos, will guide us through 6 mystery single malt Scotch whiskies from Thompson Bros. — selected blind from a rather ridiculous pool of possible bottles.
And when we say mystery… 👀
The potential pulls range from 5 to 27 years old, with names including Glen Garioch, Clynelish, Highland Park, Glen Grant, Glenrothes, Caol Ila, Glen Scotia, Tullibardine, Dalmore, Torabhaig, Ardnamurchan and plenty more.
Bourbon. Sherry. Port. PX. Red wine. Rye. Peated. Unpeated.
You won’t know what’s in your glass until it’s unmasked. 🥃❓
Taste first. Guess the distillery, age and cask. Then discover what you’ve actually been drinking.

When most people think of Japanese beer, they picture crisp lagers.
You’ll soon discover something entirely different.
Across Japan, a new generation of breweries is rewriting the rules of brewing & redefining what beer can be, combining traditional Japanese ingredients with modern techniques. Think matcha, miso, mountains of fresh fruit, mixed fermentation, whisky barrel ageing, & techniques borrowed from sake, wine & culinary traditions.
Over the course of the evening, we will showcase 10 extraordinary Japanese craft beers from 4 of the country’s most innovative breweries, carefully paired to explore how each pushes the boundaries of modern brewing while remaining unmistakably Japanese.
From fruit-loaded smoothie sours & modern sour IPAs to barrel-aged barley wines, matcha IPAs & miso lagers, each comparison tells a story of innovation.
To complete the experience, every guest will enjoy a serving of our signature Butterfry Fried Chicken, specially chosen to complement the bold flavours throughout the evening.

Not all heroes wear capes.
Some stand in front of a whisky wall, asking the right questions instead of making the biggest sale.
They know the best whisky isn’t always the rarest or the most expensive. It’s the right one for you.
The kind of bottle you’ll remember long after it’s empty.
That’s what great whisky service at Sessions Box Hill is all about. 🥃
