BMW Motorrad celebrates 10 years of production in Manaus with a special edition of the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure.

Limited to only 10 units, this commemorative edition features an exclusive visual identity, numbered license plates, and Automated Shift Assistant (ASA).

BMW Motorrad celebrates a decade of production in Manaus with the launch of a special and extremely exclusive series of the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure. Limited to only 10 units, the edition was created to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the brand's factory in the Amazonian capital and to honor a trajectory marked by the expansion of local production and the strong relationship between BMW Motorrad and the Brazilian market.

The choice of the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure to star in the commemorative series carries a special meaning. A benchmark in the Adventure motorcycle segment in Brazil, the model was also responsible for marking the production of the 150,000th BMW Motorrad motorcycle in Manaus, becoming a symbol of the evolution of the Brazilian operation.

Produced in a unique configuration for the celebration, the special series brings together elements developed specifically for the ten motorcycles, transforming each unit into a commemorative piece of BMW Motorrad's history in the country.

A unique BMW R 1300 GS Adventure

The special 10th anniversary edition from the Manaus factory stands out for its unique visual identity, developed from a proprietary combination of paint, finishes, and graphic elements.

The commemorative details are distributed throughout different parts of the motorcycle, including the tank, side panels, sump guard, and valve cover protectors, as well as other components that received specific customization for the series.

Even the top case received exclusive graphic elements, reinforcing the care dedicated to creating a motorcycle that celebrates both the product and its Brazilian origin.

Each of the ten units will also feature a commemorative plaque numbered "01/10", highlighting the collectible nature of the edition.

Technology for a special edition

In addition to the exclusive design elements and equipment already present in the regular versions, the ten units will be equipped with Automated Shift Assistant (ASA), a technology that automates clutch operation and allows gear changes in an automated way or via pedal control, increasing comfort and offering a new riding experience.

The presence of the system in the special series reinforces the combination of tradition and innovation that has accompanied BMW Motorrad's trajectory in Brazil, connecting the celebration of ten years of production in Manaus to one of the most recent technologies available in the brand's portfolio.

A decade of Brazilian production

The special series also represents a new chapter in the history of the BMW Motorrad factory in Manaus. Over the course of ten years, the unit has established itself as an important pillar of the brand's operation in Brazil, keeping pace with the growth of the national market and the expansion of the portfolio of motorcycles produced locally.

The milestone of 150,000 motorcycles produced, achieved precisely with a BMW R 1300 GS Adventure, embodies this evolution and reinforces the importance of Brazilian production for BMW Motorrad.

Now, by transforming the model responsible for this milestone into a limited series of only ten units, BMW Motorrad connects past, present and future in a motorcycle created especially to celebrate a decade of production in Manaus.

Ten years, ten motorcycles.

The decision to produce only ten units, one for each year of the factory's operation, makes the series even more symbolic. Each example brings together elements that directly relate to BMW Motorrad's trajectory in Brazil and the importance of the Manaus factory in the brand's recent history.

With limited production, individual identification, and components developed exclusively for the series, the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure commemorating 10 years is born as one of the most exclusive editions ever produced by BMW Motorrad in Brazil.

New BMW F 600 GS for 2028

Some spy pictures have emerged of what looks to be a F600GS. Twin cylinder 590cc engine with 65HP to fill the void between the new F450GS and the current F900GS. The G series like G650GS and G310 will be discontinued making way for this 600cc twin. CEO Markus Flasch has hinted that this was coming.

The X headlight similar to the R1300GS can be seen. A 21 inch front wheel with a mudguard similar to a F900GS. No beak on the front makes it look more like a Tenere 700 rallye style. It is not yet known if the 135 degree crankpin offset and the ERC clutch will flow on from the F450GS.

The front suspension with the standard upside down forks. The rear shock bolting to the swing arm like the F450GS. Reported to be 200mm of travel and 85-90cm seat height.

2 disc brakes on the front allow for a top speed of over 165kmh. This is over the A2 license regulations. 180kmh should be achieveable.

We may also see a F450R, F450RR, F600R and F600RR into the future as BMW expands its lower capacity line up.

M1000RS with 218hp, weighing 204kg reportedly on the way from BMW Motorrad. The model has been officialy registerd in the USA. It will have the same inline 4 cylinder engine as a RR.

It seems an odd model to create given the R1300RS is a sport touring boxer model and we already have a M1000XR for a comfortable superbike cross over. The main attraction being its going to have a lower seat height than an XR and less weight. It will be similar to a RR and R in weight and size but more comfortable. Luggage should also be more of a focus on the RS due to its sport touring nature. The "M" will attract a higher price of course. It will be interesting to see how a more comfortable M model fits in to this line up given its more of a younger crowd happy to spend extra for an "M" model. The R1300RS already went more sporty than its brother the R1250RS.

2027 R1300GS and M1300GS spotted.

The 2 models have been spotted in Paris this month.

On the left we can see a R1300GS in what looks too be Sao Paulo Yellow. This should be due for production MY27 starting in September this year. It has cast wheels and the standard 19 inch front with 17 inch rear.

On the right hand side we can see the M1300GS. There is a M badge on the left cylinder head cover. It has blue M callipers. It also has a 21 inch front wheel. This will be the first tele-lever model to receive a 21 inch front wheel. Suggesting the M1300GS will not be a turn towards sports riding, but a more enduro focused machine. The rear wheel could be changed to an 18 inch as seen on the R 12 G/S.
