The team at the Lilydale Melba Festival & Street Fair are excited to present to you our annual 'PUPS ON PARADE' & 'DOGGY FASHION ON THE FIELD' events! Showcase your fashionable four-legged friends in our 10am G.J. Gardner Homes Australia GRAND PARADE on festival day (Sunday 6th Dec) then present to our judges for prizes and goodie bags!

Design and create a captivating and inspired float to be presented in our 10am G.J. Gardner Homes Grand Parade as part of our festival event on Sunday 6th December 2026 and you could WIN! First Prize – Valued at over $1000! Includes $750 cash plus Prize Pack! THEME – ‘Welcome to Lilydale’! Positioning our township as the ‘Gateway to the Yarra Valley’; we want your float to capture, convey, and celebrate the spirit of Lilydale. You might highlight in your creation features of Lilydale such as culture and heritage, the arts and architecture, significant persons past or present, natural environment, community, or innovation! Our judges will be looking for floats that not only showcase Lilydale in their design, but which also have a strong ‘green’ focus with a sustainable approach to creation; using upcycled or repurposed materials and an environmentally friendly construction. Gardner Homes GRAND PARADE | 10am • BRAND NEW ‘Parade Float Design & Build Competition’ (TBA) • Live Performances all day on the Kinley MAIN STAGE • HUGE Lilydale CFA OPEN DAY! • Hamlet Living WELLNESS HUB • Culture and heritage installations, exhibitions, and activities at YR Regional Museum • Lilydale Bowling Club Open Day! • Doggy FASHIONS ON THE FIELD! • Festival Food Trucks • Children’s activities and family-friendly FUN! • Vintage Car Show • Emergency Service Display • Local sporting clubs, schools, organisations, and businesses We are very proud of our strong ethos to support local. We source our stallholders, vendors, performers, sponsors, services, and equipment hire from Lilydale-based businesses, or those residing in close-by neighbouring suburbs and the Yarra Ranges/Valley. *Entry is FREE. *This event is wheelchair accessible, inclusive and supportive of all peoples. *We are a dog-friendly event and ask that all dogs be under full control and on a lead. *This event is non-smoking please and no alcohol is to be consumed within the event. We are proud to be first and foremost gathering our stall-holders, performers, services, and valuable participants from within Lilydale itself, the Yarra Ranges, and our closely neighbouring townships.
