Grovedale Little Athletics Club 🏃♂️🖤💛 Welcome to the Grovedale Little Athletics Club.
The Club is one of nine clubs competing in the Geelong Little Athletics Centre competition. Membership is open to children from five to fifteen, with most members coming from the Grovedale, Waurn Ponds, Torquay, Jan Juc and Anglesea areas. All children compete for fun, fitness and enjoyment and are encouraged to participate in events in a positive manner, regardless of their athletic capability.

Geelong Little Athletics is holding a Come & Try Day at Landy Field on Saturday 19th September.
This will be a relaxed, fun morning where kids can have a go at some of the events, meet our clubs and athletes, and get a feel for Little Aths — without the pressure of competition or results. 🙌

Whether your child has never tried Little Athletics before or is thinking about joining us for the season, everyone is welcome!

🏃♂️🔥 WHAT AN ACHIEVEMENT, ARNIE! 🔥🏃♂️
Can you believe it?!
Arnie has absolutely smashed it at the Australian Cross Country Championships, finishing an incredible 8th place in the Under 11 Boys! 🇦🇺👏
And if that wasn’t impressive enough, Arnie also helped bring home 🥉 3rd place for Team Vic!
It was a wet, muddy and seriously tough course, but Arnie dug deep, pushed through and gave it everything he had. 💪🌧️🏃♂️
What an incredible achievement and something he should be so, so proud of!

🌟 WHAT A FORTNIGHT FOR GROVEDALE LAC! 🌟
The last fortnight has been HUGE for our Grovedale Little Athletics athletes, with some incredible performances across both the State Winter Track & Field Championships and Cross Country States! 🏃♀️🏃♂️👏
🏆 STATE WINTER TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS
Last weekend saw some fantastic results:
🥇 Jordan — 2nd overall 🥈 U12 Boys
🏅 Arnie — 4th overall 🏅 U10 Boys
🏅 Stella — 4th overall 🏅 U14 Girls
🏅 Austin — 5th overall 🏅 U10 Boys
Then this weekend, our athletes took on the Cross Country State Championships and once again represented Grovedale LAC incredibly well!
🏃♂️ Arnie — 4th 🏅 U9 Boys
🏃♂️ Ziggy B — 4th 🏅 U12 Boys
🏃♀️ Siena — 24th 🏅 U11 Girls
🏃♀️ Shanalise — 25th 🏅 U11 Girls
What an amazing effort from every athlete who competed over the past two weekends! 👏
We are so proud of the hard work, dedication and determination shown by our athletes.

🐯🖤💛 What a season for Arnie Tyler (U10)! 💛🖤🐯
Congratulations to Arnie on an incredible cross country season, finishing:
🥉 3rd at the SSV Cross Country Championships, qualifying for Team Vic and the School Sport Australia XC Nationals in Sydney.
🥉 3rd at the LAVic Cross Country Qualifier, securing a spot on the LAVic State Team for the Athletics Australia XC Championships in Ballarat.
Arnie is also the first Grovedale Little Athlete to qualify for both the SSV and LAVic XC state teams in the same season! 👏
Considering this is Arnie's first season of Little Athletics Cross Country, these achievements are outstanding. We couldn't be prouder of everything he has accomplished so far.
