🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ It’s Pacer Week at Largs Bay parkrun! ⏱️

Chasing a PB? Got a time you’d love to achieve? We will have pacers out on the course this Saturday to help you reach your goal!

We’ll spend a little extra time at the start making sure everyone is positioned according to their expected pace, helping everyone get off to a smooth and safe start. Please remember to keep left throughout the course so there’s room for everyone!

Of course, parkrun isn’t just about PBs! Whether you’re running, jogging, walking or volunteering, it’s all about getting outdoors, staying active and enjoying our wonderful community.

Cheers,

Terry (RD this week) and our wonderful team of volunteers 💜

One more sleep to go!!

We’ve still got three important roles to fill this Saturday! 🙌

🏃‍♀️ FINISH TOKENS
The person who makes sure every finisher gets the right token. A front-row seat to all the action — and a very important job!

📸 PHOTOGRAPHER
Capture the smiles, celebrations, high-fives and those “I definitely meant to do that” finishing faces! 😄📷

🔎 EVENT DAY COURSE CHECK
A quick check of the course before we start, making sure everything is safe and ready for our parkrunners.

Your core RD team,
And your RD this weekend Fi!!

PS:

🎥 A LITTLE SOMETHING EXTRA THIS SATURDAY!

Our volunteer team has been selected to showcase one of the many wonderful volunteer roles that help make parkrun happen, and this weekend we’ll have a videographer joining us at the start/finish line.

They’ll be capturing some footage of two of our amazing volunteers doing their thing and showing the community what volunteering at parkrun is really like. 🧡

So, if you’re coming through to participate in any way, our two volunteers already know who they are, and for all of you out there,
👉 Just be yourself!
👉 Have fun!
👉 Do exactly what you normally do.

There may also be some people captured in the background. If you’d prefer not to appear in any background footage, please let me know when you arrive. We’ll make sure you’re looked after.

We’re really excited to showcase our volunteers and the wonderful people behind the scenes who make Largs Bay parkrun happen every week. 🧡

Thank you for being part of it! 🙌
