People often ask, "Do you just buy seeds and plant them?" Well, sometimes we do, but most of the time, a lot of time and effort goes into ordering and planning. Sometimes ordering is 6 to 10 months out; it's just like Christmas when the boxes start rolling in 🤣 (sometimes you forget what you've ordered). Today, we had our delivery from Tesselaar of our fabulous lilies. A foundation of most of our bouquets, lilies are so beautiful—a true centerpiece. Can't wait to see these beauties in full bloom!

How incredible are these Mr. Fothergill's mystery boxes!
Today our mystery boxes arrived, and we just couldn't wait to open them. These were two $15.00 seed boxes. You don't know what you're going to get, but isn't that half the fun?
Well, each box had over 30 packets of seeds: vegetables, herbs, and flowers.
Very blessed and amazed at just what we received. Here are a few photos of just what we got.

You know how much we love a good Mystery Box, right? Well, this week we ordered two Mystery Seed Boxes from Mr Fothergill's. Can't wait to see what we get! These boxes were $15 each, with over $100 worth of seeds. As soon as they arrive, we'll let you know what we got. So exciting!

Beautiful Bunches for special people. Lisanthus, Chrisanthermums, Alstromeria and foliage.

Another Lisianthus succession are starting to pop through.. It takes 2 to 3 weeks to reach this point.
We adopt a weekly succession planting schedule until August 31st.
The seedlings are initially raised indoors with the aid of heat mats and grow lights. By early September, our first succession is transferred to outdoor beds, where they are safeguarded. These flowers will continue to flourish. Their vase life is remarkable, and they are a pleasure to work with.

We are pleased to be fulfilling a very special last-minute order today.
Fortunately, our Chrysanthemums are still producing. 💐
We are eager to receive the new Chrysanthemums we have ordered for the new season. It's very exciting 😀

Alright, it's getting to that time of year again when most dahlia growers have a love-hate relationship with the dahlia sales Hunger Games.
Seriously, it's no joke, and if you're not ready, it can be a real battle.
Here are some tips to help you out:
Make a list of the dahlias you want, set a limit on how many you'll get, and figure out roughly how much they're going for. If you don't have a limit, you might end up taking out a second mortgage and still not have room in your garden for them.
Also, remember it's better to buy a few from one supplier, since shipping can really add up. Oh, and make sure to get a tracking number when your tubers are sent out to you.

Buy from trusted suppliers. Dahlias can carry viruses, so buying from well-known, reputable suppliers gives you some peace of mind. Some dahlia growers' pages even have lists of suppliers.
Over the past few years, we've usually bought from Hansford's Dahlias and Florelie , we can't say enough good things about the quality and service from these growers/suppliers.
Other than that, we buy/swap with a couple of other flower friends.

So, good luck to everyone trying to snag some tubers this year.
