Ageing well doesn’t mean avoiding every ache, injury or physical change.
It means noticing when something is beginning to limit you—and doing something before your world starts getting smaller.
Perhaps you’ve stopped taking the longer walk.
Maybe you avoid getting down on the floor because standing back up is difficult.
Or you’re saying no to activities you once enjoyed because pain or stiffness makes them feel like too much work.
These changes may happen gradually, but they don’t always have to become your new normal.
If your body is beginning to interfere with the things that matter to you, it may be time to give it some attention.
Move well. Live well. Age well.

Here’s a useful question to ask yourself:
“What do I want to still be doing in ten years?”
Your answer might be travelling, working in the garden, playing sport, getting out on the bike or keeping up with the family.
Whatever it is, the small choices you make today can help protect that future.
You don’t need a perfect exercise routine. Start with regular movement, some strength work and paying attention when your body tells you something is becoming harder.
Your future self doesn’t need perfection—just a little support from you today.

The goal isn’t to feel 25 again.
It’s to keep doing what matters at 55, 65 and beyond.
To keep walking, riding, gardening, travelling, playing with the grandchildren—or simply managing everyday life with confidence.
Looking after your body isn’t about turning back the clock.
It’s about protecting your freedom to keep participating in life.
Move well. Live well. Age well.

That little ni**le might seem easy to ignore—especially when you can still work, exercise and get through your day.
But over time, you may start adjusting how you move, avoiding certain activities or quietly accepting that discomfort is simply part of getting older.
It doesn’t have to reach that point before you give your body some attention.
Looking after the small things now can help you stay active, capable and confident in the years ahead.
Move well. Live well. Age well.

TODAY’S MOVEMENT SUPPORTS TOMORROW’S FREEDOM
Strength, balance and mobility aren’t things we suddenly begin thinking about when we get older.
They are built gradually through the ordinary choices we make today.
A walk. A stretch. A strength exercise. Taking the stairs. Getting up from the desk and moving for a few minutes.
These choices may not feel significant at the time, but repeated regularly, they help us continue doing the things we enjoy—and maintain our independence as the years pass.
You don’t need a perfect fitness routine.
You simply need to keep giving your body opportunities to move.
That’s what it means to:
Move Well. Live Well. Age Well.

YOU DON’T NEED TO FEEL MOTIVATED TO BEGIN
We often tell ourselves:
“I’ll go for a walk when I have more energy.”
“I’ll get back into exercise when I feel motivated.”
“I’ll start stretching when life settles down.”
But energy and motivation often follow movement—they don’t always come before it.
A short walk may help you feel more alert. A few gentle stretches may help your body feel less restricted. One small active choice can help shift the way the rest of your day feels.
You don’t need to wait for the perfect mood, perfect weather or perfect routine.
Start small. Start gently. Start where you are.

TEN MINUTES STILL COUNTS
When we haven’t been moving as much as usual, it is easy to believe that a short walk or a few stretches won’t make any real difference.
But movement doesn’t have to be long or intense to be worthwhile.
Ten minutes could mean:
• Walking around the block
• Stretching while the kettle boils
• Doing a few simple mobility exercises
• Putting on some music and moving around the house
• Completing one or two strength exercises
You don’t need to make up for lost time.
Just choose something your body can comfortably manage today and begin there.
A little movement is always better than none.
Move Well. Live Well. Age Well.
